holy shit. anyway cooked these up while listening. devlin pissed me off more than normal this episode and hiiii hipswitch☺️

im honestly glad albus did what he did. i think he needs the time away to reflect and actually think about what happened and what hes been through. while yes, he definitely needs a supportive network, he cant get help if he doesnt want it. and sometimes the first step of healing must happen while alone. i hope he and hipswitch can have a better relationship in the future, but it wont happen if he just bottles everything up all the time.

also devlin largely pissed me off this episode because he didnt tell hipswitch exactly what the mod would do, and didnt even mention that it was experimental until after he was down. i get that hipswitch is an obscuran and mods arent exactly something unusual, but its still his body. hell for all they knew it couldve potentially killed him and there wouldve been nothing they couldve done.

What was Ash and Thad like as kids??

Ash was a theater kid who was extremely insecure while simultaneously craving the spotlight, a combo that is definitely not good for mental health but whatever. He had a little sketch comedy YouTube channel he made when he was 11, where he had 200 subscribers. When he was 12, YouTube deleted it for breaking the 13+ age policy. It was one of the worst days of his life. During the summer his parents sent him off to a cheap day camp hosted by a local community center. He didn't like doing sports but he loved that every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday the councilors would play improv games with the kids. He found that adults found it very funny when he said "fuck" and was confused that he'd get in trouble even though he made them laugh.
