We've all lost someone

“Always thinking of others. This town should give us some sort of reward for public service.” The cold air is enough to make Rebekah walk slightly faster, in an attempt to keep this brilliant buzz for as long as possible. Just a few buildings down, the Jewlery store sits with it’s lights dulled down for closing time. “I wonder if there is anyone inside. I’m absolutely famished.”

The blonde lets out a shimmering laugh at Rebekah’s comment, a smirk quirking at her lips. “Hell- they should even make a statue to honor us.” With a slightly drunken skip in her step, Lexi is practically bouncing beside the older vampire, eyes gleaming as they near the jewelry store. “You’re in luck- someone’s car is still in the parking lot.”

“You’re telling me all this to confuse me. —- You do. What about Stefan??”

“Don’t try to change the subject. We’re talking about you, not him. Nice try, though.”

“In a boring little town like this? We’ll be the talk of the town for MONTHS.” Rebekah linked her arm with Lexi’s and gave her a gentle tug towards the door. The jewelry shop was right around the corner, so it wouldn’t take long to complete their mission. “Everyone will either love us or hate us. Perhaps a bit of both.”

The dim light of the bar fades away behind them as the cool night air invades her alcohol ridden mind. Lexi lets out a little huff as the warmth from her numerous amount of drinks seems to dull. “Just imagine- we’ll be doing this town a favor by giving them something to fill their boring lives with. How generous of us.”

“Hm—- I take it as my guess was right. And surely, you aren’t even human. —– Actually, I’d be glad if you weren’t. That would mean Eden had someone who could protect her. Fine. I guess we have that sorted out.”

“Eden doesn’t need protecting. She can handle herself better than most people I know. And let’s leave what I am as a surprise. For if you manage to get on my bad side. C’mon, let’s go. My car’s out front.”
