Day 5: Your OTP Loveships (yeah I think anyone who has been following me knows what my ultimate/super extreme/number one ship is, so I'm not gonna mention them this time (save for later). I'm gonna talk about other pairings or *cough* guilty pleasures that I also enjoy and very much consume their fanwork)
The biggest robbery in history of fiction happened when Mr. Rainbow didn't pull out a Momoi 2.0 "I can't leave him alone" card and followed Haizaki to highschool, especially after the baton pass he just faded and I'll never forgive Fujimaki (my man never got a height update duh!) As a Haizaki enjoyer I literally think NijiHai should get married - the drama CD gave me too much dream of Haizaki getting his redemption arc and a rare moment when Nijimura ever acted like a senior/big brother figure.
Kiyoshi/Hyuuga & Kiyoshi/Riko
My bae Kiyoshi's type is hot-headed passionate cute pies and it definitely shows =)))) Didn't think much when I first picked up him as my blorbo but imagine reading through Kirisaki Daiichi, Yosen and Rakuzan Arc and NOT simping for KiyoHyuu while daydreaming of KiyoRiko reconcilation - mission impossible.
The mom and dad of Rakuzan I've always shipped since middle school 👍 There ain't much of them together but it's the way they called Hayama by his first name, how Mibuchi catered Sei-chan and Nebuya always cheered up others by hitting their back that made me feel like wow, these two matched each other's vibe so well and other three are like their sons lol
If I have a nickel every time another team's player became interested in UK trio I'll have two, which isn't a lot but at least it happened! MiyaHaya have this hardwork/prodigy and tiger senpai/childish upperclassmen type of opposite attraction that gets me (in KuroFes interview where Miyaji said senpai "are meant to be scary" I really think he should snap some sense out of all those spoiled brats fr!) But as a player in the same position he was genuinely impressed by Hayama so that'd make a very, VERY good smut scene out of jealousy and complicated desire.
Already sensed people coming after me but guys, GUYS please believe when I dare say Hyuuga's internalized homophobia towards Mibuchi is funny af =)))) For 275 chapters the guy couldn't confess his feelings to Riko but the moment he faced this pretty boy he has always admired for (approximately) 5 years all his monologues were like "Mibuchi's forms are so beautiful I can't block" or whatever that means, and in his interview he specifically mentioned wanting to beat Mibuchi 1-on-1 as well like dude you're deceiving no one!
Many would probably ask "who tf is Ishida" so he's this guy looking like Kiyoshi in the picture and also Fukuda Sogo's team captain! Following my growing love for Haizaki I started reading more about him, gathering information from all sources possible and was ultimately SOLD by that Replace chapter yk the one where he got Ishida searched all day and showed to be concerned/worried about his injuries yes exactly! Next to NijiHai I'd be cool with HaiIshi endgame because of Ishida's high tolerance to the current Haizaki AND he's good at housework so perfect husband material!
Poly Touou (except Aomine)
Yep you heard me, I think Touou were mostly there for Momoi and Wakamatsu might've respected Imayoshi too much to murder Aomine at this point (so AoWaka's borderline acceptable) - other than that Touou's like THE most misunderstood team ever because no Imayoshi and Aomine's villain aura have nothing to do with the rest. ImaSaku used to be my fave but I've grown to love ImaMomo and SusaIma as well, and WakaSaku and MomoSaku have such a sibling vibe in both the drama CD and album song!
They're each other's bitches and you can't convince me otherwise. Kirisaki is the rich bitches' school and I know they teamed up to kick the poor unnamed coach out but everything is fine as long as Hanamiya satisfied their sadistic inner child (I'm looking at you Furu-chan!) Since Furuhashi is my fave you can tell FuruHana is first priority, but SetoHana is equally good and YamaHana/YamaHara is for people with "goody-two-shoes gone bad" kink so be my guest lol
The manga is named "Kuroko's Basketball and not "Everyone' Free Therapy" for a reason so guess it can't be helped that Ogiwara only made his comeback at the very end, but because Mochida was the one carried his message to Kuroko AND also accompanied him to the final my headcanon is he went to the same highschool as Ogi and helped him gain back his passion (Fujimaki's love for mob characters was so big he gave even Ogi a boyfriend, and did you know they called each other "Mocchi" and "Shige"!?)
Aomine/Kagami & Kuroko/Kagami
Finally, last but not least, I present you Kagami and his two (anything but basketball) lame ass boyfriends! They're pretty much self-explanatory so there's no need to elaborate further but I just find it ironic that though Kuroko and Aomine's problem required different approach, Kagami ultimately became the solution and it'd be hilarious to see the moto aibou/ex-partners fighting for his attention.
