I'll be talking endlessly and obsessively about music 🥰 Some of my favorite favorite artists and bands are Bon Jovi, Michelle Branch, Jimmy Eat World, My Chemical Romance, Paramore, Brand N-, Def Leppard, Fall Out Boy, Mariah Carey, Olivia Rodrigo, Janet Jackson, Honey Revenge, Broadside, Meet Me @ The Altar, Taylor Swift, State Champs, Sabrina Carpenter, Madonna, and a lot more than I could think of nao @_@;; But yea. If it has guitars, feelings, and big choruses, I love it <3
My Journey 🏳️⚧️ I've driven down a long bumpy road coming to terms with my gender dysphoria and other mental health struggles throughout my lifetime but I'm happy to say I'm finally seeing the sun rising as I finally take the opportunity to live my truth and be the Sophie I always was. I started HRT a little over two years ago and it has been the best decision I ever made. I feel like me for once and that my body and brain are aligning with the gender I always was. It has also helped me address other aspects of my mental health with a clearer mind. I'm still growing and maturing but I like where I'm headed.
Reclaiming My Girlhood 💿 Sooooo here's the thing. I never got to be a girl during my formative years. Didn't have slumber parties. Didn't grow up dancing and singing along to Britney and Christina with friends. Didn't get to experience a lot of aspects of growing up as a woman like my cis peers did.
So I'm working on a project where I'm going to reclaim that and get in touch with my inner child. How? Through music!! I'll have some linear posts where I'll be talking about music that came out from when I was 6 and starting kindergarten (Sept 1996) to when I was 18 and getting ready for college (August 2009)! I'll get to experience that music as the girl I am now, while reflecting on my childhood. And yeah. While I can't change how I was raised, it'll help me learn more about myself. Plus! There was some awesomesauce music that came out at the time!
My Own Music 🎸 I'll also be uploading my own music from time to time. Maybe some demos and WIPs. Currently working on a solo EP and will be collaborating with a special friend soon. Will let y'all know more about that once we get the ball rolling 😎
Other Things To Expect 🤔 I troll UwU I use a lot of dark humor 💀 I'll sometimes vent and show more emotional vulnerability and then I delete it 🥹 You might even see me be chaotic and completely unhinged 👹
