I hate driving I hate driving I hate driving I hate left turns I hate parking lots and how cars work so close together I hate that in order to get out of a parking lot I have to make a left turn over two lanes I hate driving I can’t do this anymore

Maybe I’m fucking crazy and not thinking but I feel like there’s been an infantilization of children’s toys. I’m not talking about making lawn darts safer and not lobotomizing missiles but rather toys have become passive. Maybe infantilization isn’t exactly the right word but there’s something there.

I try to be kind and empathetic and try not to get annoyed because of the literary crisis and literacy rates and I always tell myself that a lot of Americans struggle with literacy but I can’t help but think when I’m at work that the minute people enter a grocery store they just forget how to function, read, and comprehend what they are reading.

I’m one of the only supervisors/managers at work that will always back up my cashiers and courtesy clerks and it baffles me. Like why are my other supervisor coworkers (who are all at least 10+ years older than me) not defending the 15 year old from being verbally degraded by the 60 year old man on a power trip. Maybe it’s cause I’m 22 and still cashier with my cashiers but idk I feel like supervisors should be there to back up their cashiers, I don’t care if she scanned it wrong that doesn’t justify Gerald screaming at the top of his lungs and calling a teenager the r-slur
