And this makes me incredibly angry and sad because I love every thing Alice has published. Plus it’s my hyperfixation and it has been since the show came out.

It’s sad that for some people this was just a phase or they only watched the show. Like this might just be a me thing but if I really like something I wanna dive into it and give it 100%. Like once I found out the show was based on a WEBTOON I read it. Then I found out they published other books and started reading those. And now I realized that I don’t even have the American covers for these books (besides heart stopper) and now I wanna get those and annotate them.

How can someone watch heart stopper and not want to get into the authors other work?? How can they be such a fan of the show in April/May but now in July they’re embarrassed to even like it?

I get people can like things casually and maybe not get into it as much as I do with things but how can you sit there and say you like it but now that one person said it was embarrassing to like it you’re gonna jump in the band wagon and agree. I don’t get it.

At least I’ll always have tumblr where I and others don’t have to be embarrassed for liking Alice’s work because she has done so much for literature in terms of diversity. Someone can pick up their books and finally see themselves in it in some way. How can someone be embarrassed to like something like that?

It was extremely obvious nobody had ever thought to do that before.

This man should be a fucking icon not just for his cooking, but for how he treats those who are different. During the same season he asked a handsome young man, making conversation during auditions, if he had a girlfriend. The man responded that he was gay. Ramsay, without missing a beat: “I’m sorry. Have you got a boyfriend, then?” No drama, no “oh my GOSH! You’re GAY? TOKEN CHARACTER :DDDD” just a very quick, simple whoops-my-mistake and the corrected inquiry. And then he never brought it up again! It was just a thing he learned, getting to know a contestant.
