TEMPORARY SEMI-HIATUS
So as you may have noticed I havenât really been doing anything online lately. Iâve hit a major slump and as such none of my muses are really co-operating. Now, this is partially because of issues Iâve been having at home with an argument going on within my family, and partially because Iâm currently focusing on getting another job while trying to sort of prepare for College in the fallâ yes, I know thatâs a long way away but I like to be prepared.
But until I can drag myself and my muses up from the abyss, all of my blogs will be placed on a semi-hiatus. that is, every couple of days I will probably check them, but I probably wonât be taking part in any rps, although if you want to set one up with me, I will gladly hoard drafts to do once I snap out of it.

"Iâm traveling with a friend of mine," Charley replied. "Iâm sorry to ask, but where are you from? Itâs been a while since Iâve met someone of my own species. Of course, Iâve met loads of aliens who look just like Humans. Youâd think that the universe would be more, I donât know, diverse, but I suppose it isnât.â She smiled again, a bit embarrassed. âIâm sorry, I havenât given you any time to answer my question!â She firmly closed her mouth with an apologetic look.
She just laughed and shook her head. "That's alright. I'm from Earth actually, a right and proper human, not just humanoid. I know what you mean though, it's really rather strange how often aliens look exactly like Humans isn't it?" Jo sighed and rested her hands in her lap.
"I'm actually traveling with a friend of mine as well, but he's trying to repair some doodad or another. So I've been left to my own devices for the past couple of days."
âHow did we get in this mess?"
10. Trapped by a cave-in.
Erimem raised her head cautiously as the rocks finally stopped falling. âAre you hurt?â she asks the other woman. They had been chasing a very, very green alien when he turned and headed into the cave. Neither had expected that the unstable cave would fall in on them.Â
The dust made her cough as she struggled to see through the darkness. She was bruised from various debris but nothing felt broken. She winced as she straightened out.Â
Erimem blinked at the sudden brightness and turned her head away to allow her eyes to get used to it. âI am Erimem,â she replied as she bent down to check on the fallen woman. âAre you injured?â she asked as she looked up at the rubble. She was no expert but the rocks looked precarious and she was hesitant to move them for fear of another cave in.
She could only hope that Peri and the Doctor were alright without her. The aliens hadnât appeared to be hostile, but appearances were often deceiving in her experience.
"No no, I'm fine. Just a bit stuck!" She huffed slightly in exasperation, trying again to tug her foot free before sagging again in defeat. "Lovely to meet you Erimem. It would have been nicer if it hadn't included a cave-in but...." She craned her neck to look up at the woman standing over her. "This probably isn't the best time to ask but why were you chasing-- whatever that was?" Jo offered a weak little grin before deciding to stop straining her neck and look at the very uncomfortable floor of the cave that she was currently laying more or less face down on. "I have a feeling we may be here for a while, so we might as well try to pass the time, right?"

Either Way She's Not a Man
It was quite a lot of effort not to bristle at the tone of the man who addressed her first; she had a certain amount of pride that made her far too quick-tempered according to her mother. She relaxed slightly at the suggestion she might be here for the job as the cabin boy. âYes, sir,â Charley replied and kept her voice gruff, speaking at the low-range of her register. âI heard that your ship needed a new cabin boy. Iâm here to apply for the post.â
She had to admit that she was pleased with the way her voice stayed strong. She hesitated at the ramp that led up to the ship, feeling suddenly very bare to be without a weapon of some sort. Nicely done, she scolded herself silently, applying for a position on a pirateâs ship and coming unarmed. She did her best to look as tall and intimidating as she couldânot that standing at her full height of four inches over five feet was tall by any stretch of the imagination but every millimeter counted.
The Coxswain stared unblinkingly at the young man for a moment, sizing him up. "I have several questions that I'd prefer to ask you before you step foot on the ship, but I will allow the Captain to meet you before we decide whether or not to take you on. Do you understand?"
Benton had to make a concerted effort not to smile a little at the boy's effort to not seem frightened. At least he's giving it the best he's got. Despite initial misgivings he found himself warming slightly to the boy. "I'll let you handle this one Yates, I'd better get back to making sure no-one tries to slip anything away into private storage, especially not any of the drink."
Yates almost laughed. "Heaven forbid anyone try to steal the Captain's booze." With a small smile he turned back to the young man standing uncertainly before him. "Now then, what's your name, age, and do you have any experience with sailing vessels? Oh," he added as an afterthought, "and what do you know of our Captain and crew?"
Send me a song that reminds you of my muse!!
"Erm-- Excuse me Miss, but this area is restricted. I'm going to have to ask you to leave." Jo did her best to look stern, she really did, but it had always been difficult for her to manage that at the best of times, certainly not when she was already frazzled and exhausted from trying to track some poor, terrified alien creature through the warren of corridors that was this building.
"What? Â No, youâve gotta be mistaken. Â Iâm supposed to be here. Â See?" Â Ace waved an ID at the woman (one sheâd swiped from the Doctor, of courseâ a stolen stolen identification card, how about that). Â While she was at it, she flashed the woman her most winning smile. Â
âShe has a name,â Ace muttered under her breath, half-heartedly trying to tug her wrist free. Â But she didnât want to pick a fight; there was work to be done if they wanted to help the, well, whatever it was running around so the ambassador guy didnât have to worry about it anymore. Â At least he looked interesting. Â Ace hadnât seen anyone like him before. Â It was hard not to stare.
It was also incredibly hard not to stare at the Brigadierâa much younger versionâand the guy they kept calling âDoctorâ.  He wasnât the Doctor.  For starters, he was tall and not nearly as goofy-looking as the actual Doctor.  Holy hell, was there an entire club full of people that refused to give any name other than âDoctorâ?!
"Is there anything I can do to help?" she asked impatiently. Â She didnât want to just stand around like a useless lump. Â If she was going to be babysat, she might as well try to help out somehow.
The Doctor was regarding Ace curiously, fingering his lips, but at her words he nodded quickly and motioned her closer to the table they had all gathered around. âYes, I think there is. You were with Jo when you came across the poor creature, correct? I think our best chance would be if we split into two groups, come at it from two directions and try to corner it.â
Jo leaned against him, arms coming up to wrap around one of his. âWhat about here? It looks like a dead end.â
Lord Tâkaaâs tall frame loomed over them as he studied the floor plan intently for a moment before nodding. "Yes, but I should warn you that Aârchenths donât take well to being backed into a corner."
"Not many things do, Iâm afraid." The Brigadier clapped a hand on the arm of the alien, stoic as ever. "Itâs as sound a plan as weâve had for a while now, might as well give it a shot. If youâll come with me Doctor, Lord Tâkaa, weâll see about dividing the troops and the dart guns." They moved over to where the others stood about in small clusters, talking amongst themselves.
Jo grinned at Ace and motioned for her to follow. âWe should probably be there too, since weâll be showing them the way. This place is a bit of a maze.â

Jo Grant in Carnival of Monsters
(I love the idea of him being dominated by Jo) â˘
"Really now Doctor?"
Once they made it inside the Doctor pulled Jo close. âWell Miss Grant, take advantage of me.â
She quirked an eyebrow at him, crossing her arms. âAre you telling me what to do?â
"Certainly not, Jo." He raised his eyebrow. "Why? Am I going to receive some type of punishment, if i am?" Â
"Your punishment would probably be me leaving right now."
Roseâs grin grew wider at that, a brightness suddenly taking over her expression. âBrilliant! Knew UNITâd believe me. Maybe itâs just you, though â youâre smart.â She nodded, feeling relief for the first time since sheâd started her journey.
On a whim, she decided to trust Jo. For as long as she had to stay here, at least, a friend would be nice to have. And she liked Jo; the other woman was capable, and charismatic. Deciding to trust her couldnât be that terrible of an idea. âWe worked hard on it,â she admitted, straightening up a little. âThe starsâre goinâ out back home, anâ I needed to get back here. If I tell you who Iâm lookinâ for, youâll have to promise to keep it secret, yeah?â Rose nodded twice, her expression hopeful.
"I-- I have my moments but I wouldn't say I'm...." Jo smiled at her happily. "Ah- thank you." Her smile faded into a highly concerned frown a moment later though. "Stars? But.... you mean all at once? How is that even possible?" Biting her lip, she nodded. "Of course you can trust me. I won't say a word I promise. But if I can help you find whoever it is I'll do my best."

"I may be able to help you with that." Elsa says, stepping out into the light and leaned against the ice railings of her balcony, studying the older woman on the main floor below her.Â
"Youâre on top of the North Mountain, and in my home." Her eyebrows furrowed. "Who are you and what are you doing here?"
Elsa rose an eyebrow, noticing the womanâsâŚstrange attire. Why was she dressed so little for the cold?Â
"Well, to be more specific, You are in Norway." She said. Her eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "Doctor?" Elsa repeated. "Are you ill?" She asked, suddenly sounding worried. She didnât want anyone to be sick because of the storm she accidentally unleashed. "ThereâsâŚ.a kingdom, just down this mountain if you are indeed ill. There are physicians there that may help you."Â
"Norway? How in the world did I wind up in Norway?" She bit her lip for a moment before the rest of the woman's words filtered through her sudden panic. "No, no not that sort of doctor. Well actually I wouldn't be surprised if he was also a medical doctor, but no. He's a.... friend of mine, called the Doctor, and if anyone would be able to figure out what led to me suddenly showing up here it would be him."
The small smile that had crossed her face as she spoke of the Doctor vanished quite suddenly. "Did you say a kingdom? But I thought Norway was a unitary constitutional monarchy, split up into counties, not kingdoms.... Oh no. No, no, no I must have gone back as well...."
