An Alien World: 'Hang Son Doong is located in central Vietnam and is the largest cave in the world. It was only explored for the first time in 2009 and is just now opening up to very limited tourism. This photo shows some members of our party beginning the climb up one of the two collapsed cave roof sections or "dolines" that are prominent features in Hang Son Doong.The vegetation that can be seen is still entirely inside the cave, with the real jungle floor some 150 metres further above.'

The Badlands region in the American West is famous (or infamous) for its arid and unforgiving landscape, which is decorated by sharp and eroded spires of stone. If you catch it at just the right moment and in the right conditions, however, these apparent wastelands can give birth to an extraordinary explosion of color and life in the form of beautiful wildflowers. Plants in American desert or desert-like areas have evolved to make the most of their challenging environment. In the spring, when they receive moisture, they spring into action, doing what they can to conserve as much water as possible and to bloom and reproduce quickly. These blooms can be very short-lived to conserve moisture, which is why they can be a rare sight.

Most major cities magically light up during the holiday season, and the Hungarian capital of Budapest is no different. Every winter, this city is covered in festive holiday decorations, but one of the most interesting of these are the city’s trams, which are covered in 30,000 bright blinking LED lights.

The goal was to capture the beautiful Milky Way galaxy along with one of the most amazing mountains I know El Teide. I have to say this was one of the most exhausting trips I have done. There was a lot of hiking at high altitudes and probably less than 10 hours of sleep in total for the whole week. Having been here 10-11 times before I had a long list of must-see locations I wanted to capture for this movie, but I am still not 100% used to carrying around so much gear required for time-lapse movies.
