comms open!

I'm releasing a weird west horror novelette called Bone Rot. I want to promo it by commissioning artists, bc I'd rather support my fellow artists than just a shit out a bunch of bland social media marketing posts. Details below the image. Here's the cover art:

Corporal Ambrose Price wakes up from surgery to install a prosthetic jaw, after a radium experiment gone wrong. He finds Fort Backwater nearly abandoned, its soldiers killed by an unknown malicious creature. Can he escape with his life, or will he be mauled like the rest of his comrades?

Great for fans of Fallout, New Vegas, Alien: Isolation, and The Hateful Eight.

Who I'm looking for:

Artists who enjoy horror, weird West, sci-fi and creature features.

What I'm commissioning:

It'll be something like a standard commission where I ask you to draw a character or two. Once complete and the novellette is released, I would then ask you to post that image on all of your socials, with an attached link to the novellette. You will also, of course, be able to use the art in your portfolio and use me as a reference for future things you apply to, because I want this to be beneficial to you as well.

Release is currently estimated at late July, but I'll give grace periods as needed to artists. If you'd like to see more visual examples of the contents of the story, my main illustrator, Ryan Miller, has been posting some of the images on his Instagram, @ramillerart, and I'm perfectly willing to send you some references too.

As for budget, I sadly can't pay more than $70 per commission. I wish I could, but late stage capitalism is kicking my ass 😭
