i love you well crafted narratives i love you clever callbacks i love you seemingly nonsensical plot lines that begin to make perfect sense when they converge i love you sneaky little easter eggs you only notice on your second watch i love you consistent but not overdone motifs i love you deeply satisfying series finales i love you gratifying and tangible character development

remember when tobirama (age 10 maximum) was like "adults are so stupid. there'd be no more war if they'd just suppress all their emotions." he s so normal

madara ONLY has charisma on the battlefield and fighting is where he feels most comfortable. politics and interpersonal relationships are not it. physical combat is the only method of communication he really innately understands

izuna makes sure the clan is running. madara takes care of izuna

#smth about madara to some extent losing the backing of his clan (whether it was a false perception or the truth of the matter) #once izuna passes feels very telling ? tho at the same time bc izuna was so mistrusting of the senju i think it added some tension to# their sibling relationship... there must have been times madara wanted to stop the fighting and make peace w hashirama. but #no matter what -- madara backed izuna. no matter what. he supported him. imo to a fault. #madara has the strength and power to execute izuna's will and he will do that because at his core madara is a caretaker and a protector #and he does that after izuna dies too #because izuna's instruction to madara was not to trust the senju #and while i think he wanted to believe hashirama's dream could be realized even without madara's half of the dream existing anymore #hashirama's failures as a friend and confidant ended up solidifying izuna's will as a mantra that madara would come to commit his entire #existence towards #(THIS not even mentioning that madara certainly could have had a role to play in hashirama's mutual mistrust or at least.... his wariness #to be honest with him when he knew the truth would hurt madara... like they both made a lot of mistakes even tho they're just glossed #over in the manga etc....... and i do not have the brain rn to go over them all KDJHGDJK) #ALL THAT TO SAY.... yah i agree w op DKJGdkjHJK via @vohtaro
