Ice Envy

Remember when you were graduating high school & you lied to your parents & told them you applied to colleges when you really didn’t? In an attempt to make your parents happy, you ended up applying (last minute) to a community college & getting in. You had good grades the first semester but you always felt like college wasn’t for you. You always felt like your vision was way different than everyone else’s in that room. Some days you’d even drive all the way to campus, sit in your car outside the school, & you wouldn’t find the ability to even go in & sit in the classroom. You just knew. Eventually, you just stopped going all together. You would drive to campus & never go in. You only drove there so that your parents would THINK you went.

After you dropped out & told your parents you wanted to take a year off, everything changed. Your friends didn’t really understand why you wouldn’t just go to college. People would look at your weird when you told them you dropped out. You had no money, job, or motivation for that matter. All you had was this feeling that you were gonna be okay somehow. But it was hard. You took a risk & you willingly put your back against the wall. I like to think thats why you became great at something. You had to find something to be great at because if you didn’t, you would have nothing. Remember when you would just walk in the middle of the street at midnight blasting some inspirational music? You’d walk down to the strip and just stare at Manhattan and just KNOW that one day you’d be as big as that city. Those walks are where you envisioned all of these things that happened to you in the years to come. You made them happen. But somewhere along the line, you lost that visionary mindset. You got comfortable & settled.

Now, 4 years later.. You are back where you started.

You had a full time job & continued to make money off of YouTube. You were making the most money out of everyone in your family. You are paying the house off. You are paying the bills. You have saved a lot of money to continue to do this for years to come. But, you finally woke up. You woke up while sitting at your desk at work & realized, I gave up on my dreams and settled for this. You started to feel like you were back in that college classroom. Most people would suck it up & keep the safe, well paying, 9-5 job they had.

… But you quit. 

You took another risk. Your back is, once again, against the wall. But this is when you perform the best. You’ve started taking those long walks in the middle of the street at midnight again. You’ve got that visionary mindset back. Do not wait for great things to come. MAKE THEM HAPPEN. THEY WILL HAPPEN.
