granted maybe i just haven’t played enough jrpgs but can anyone point me towards an actual genuine instance of an ambiguously gendered silent protagonist. like. can anyone give me an actual real life example of a game in which neutral or no pronouns are used for a player character with the specific intent of that character being gendered outside of the text of the game by the player. not a gender selector or a male character with ambiguous physical traits but a player character who straight up deliberately is not gendered with the expectation that the player decides their gender after the fact. or is that just something people only pretend is an established trope when they don’t want to acknowledge that toby fox knew about nonbinary people in 2015

the funny thing about this is that both people born in the 2000s are reblogging this freaking out because they arent ready to be adults and people who were born before the 2000s are freaking out about how they feel old and that it cant be happening because all people born in the 2000s are like 4
