What made you like about Smokescreen? (or even love about him) What made him your favourite?

Why/What do you like him for?

Oh boy this might be a longer post 🫪

OK OK 1.

Surprisingly, i started loving smokescreen after hating him. In his introduction, I felt like the rest of the team prime crew, just “roll your eyes” “omg he’s so cringe your honour”

But then what made me love him I think is how he deferred from most other characters that fit that description, which is that he makes up for it. It became “your honour he’s cringe but god damn get that mech on the field”.

Usually most characters in the cringe category just stay as that comic relief type character with nothing more to them, but his actions overpowered his words is the best way i can put it.

I’d say this also goes for G1, which was the only other TF generation I’ve seen with him in it (although the idk stuff also makes him look good)

2. I think what solidified him as a top character for me was his Arcs, cause AOUGH i swear every arc he was part of were my favourites.

The keys, the mountain, the finale AUGH.

I think his quips also got better as it went along, or was just cheering him on hard enough by that point that i didn’t even notice they were the same lmao

3. I love his development, i love his flashy-ness, i love his confidence and skills, i love his complexity just MUAH MUAH chefs kiss

His determination makes me want to see where he’ll end up, and he’s still got a lot to go/learn in life which means i got a lot of possible things to think about for him. Like the other characters have possibility to think about but for him it’s like 10x that.

Actually, speaking of complexity and comparison, most of the other autobot mechs of team prime are complex because you see them as serious people, but theres actually a whole lot more and they got their own lights inside, mostly. For smokescreen I think it’s mostly the opposite, where you see him as a happy light of life guy, but theres actually a while lot more and they got their own seriousness.

I feel like thats a whole other conversation tho so i might just leave that for another day 🤷

Surprisingly not about smokescreen, believe or not

More about grimlock and fixit

So as i mentioned a while ago somewhere (probably in some random tags haha) i kinda want to do something with the aspect that a whole lot of “animal based esc” mechs were arrested by the council (?) and aboard fixits ship and possibly others like his.

Main reason actually being because I think it would bring a better end to… claw guy… thunder-no. STEEL! Steelclaw. Haha. Ha

His ending was “hey guys imma help you outta the blue then dip bye now” and EHH….. EHHHHHHHH… found it kinda boring.

So I have ideas for that area BUT TO MY POINT

Grimlock would’ve been part of that, and I think maybe steelclaw had a better idea of what was happening, meanwhile grimlock might’ve been less informed.

Once at some point those dots click, and maybe seeing fixit being “fixed”/genocidal maybe reminded him of things happening in his homeland.

Basically I want mroe between fixit and grimlock, and putting in a little angst might help that haha

Won’t be that bad tho cause they’re both good people, like obviously whenever grimlock talks to him about it fixit obviously doesn’t want grimlock to hate/fear him in any sort of way. But i think it would also maybe push grimlock in that leadership direction. If ya get my drift

Like 1. Them pointed ears remind me of his lightning audials as well as his “head side bands” things

2. I always see them sitting with such straight posture which reminds me of him

3. I think they are seen as either police dogs or bodyguard dogs, which smokescreen elite guard and personal guard

4. Pretty sure dobermans look pretty serious but turn into lil silly guys (at least the ones I’ve met) so smokescreen in my mind

5. There pretty big but not THAT big, which i feel like fits with smokes height

And there goes my “which dog would smokescreen be” thoughts I guess.
