Call me Icarus or Sys, use he/him pronouns 98% of the time, I am what I call a "nonbinary male", I am in my 20s, I have a lovely girlfriend whom I will be calling Bean or Beanie online ♡, and I am but a typical queer artist.

HermitImpact - A Hermitcraft x Genshin Impact art series where myself and commenters decide which Genshin characters fit Hermits the best, and I draw the Hermits cosplaying as the Genshin characters.
BbnoCritikal - It's seriously just a Dispatch au for me to ship Bbnos and MoistCritikal (Sonar).
Card Arts - A series where I draw the Genshin Impact character card arts in my own style with my own headcanons.

I (we) are a DID system, meaning that I (we) have a disorder that causes our brain to split personalities into parts and these parts are different people, 9 times out of 10 these people are comfort characters from media. We have hundreds of people at this point but only about 20 are incredibly active, and sometimes we may end a post with the name of whomever is in control at the time of posting. If you care about who is most active, that would be Schlatt and Leon first and foremost, seconds will change every once in awhile, currently it is Sonar and Alastor.

Artwork!
I do all my art with paper and pencil, hardly ever using an eraser. I then take a picture of my artwork with my phone and use editing to brighten and contrast the lines to be clearer and easier to work with. I upload the picture to IbisPaintX or Magma and begin the process of colouring, which is much like painting the way I do it.
I'm still experimenting with every art piece to find my favourite style, and I do not often digitalize as it takes HOURS over multiple days.
I draw fandom content mostly, as fandom content allows me to express my love for something, practice my art, and it doesn't require NEARLY as much thinking and planning as original characters do. That said, I do have a massive world building project I work on called Erisia (not based off the Deepwoken game, I have been working on this long before that was made), and this world is where all of my original work, characters, and ideas exist within one universe. Use the tag "Icarussys erisia" to filter that content specifically.

My minecraft modpack I made myself is my pride and joy, it has 361 mods, 27 resource packs, and 8 shaders. Yes it is actually playable, I get 60 fps (my set limit) with a render distance of 15 or 16 (my comfort zone), but the pack only runs on a really good PC, I run with 16000mb memory allocation (but I have gone to 12000mb and it runs fine if you aren't exploring much) and my build is a Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 GPU, AMD Ryzen 7 7700X 8-Core CPU, and MSI X670e Gaming Plus Wifi Motherboard.
I drink tea and coffee, obsessed with noodles it's my favourite. Fav colours is generally speaking blue and purple. My favourite thing to draw is hair and eyes.
I listen to hundreds of bands while I draw, current go-to songs are Ugly Story by PhemieC, Brittle Bones Nicky series by Rare Americans, anything by AJR, anything by Lovejoy, anything by BoyWithUke, and various Avenged Sevenfold songs from the early 2000s.
Huge fan of angst and my art will dabble in things like gore, sensitive themes, suggestive themes, hurt/comfort, I will put appropriate warnings on posts that require them.
If I do ship art of Hermits (hermitcraft) understand it is the characters of their minecraft skins that I have created in my head, and I do so with the knowledge of the Hermits consent to this kind of artwork, if I do do artwork of a Hermit ship and one of the creators has requested it not to be done PLEASE tell me, it is guaranteed that I am just unaware of that boundary they've set as I don't watch the hermit streams or use twitter.

IMO, blurring the lines between “I’m defending them because they’re right” and “I’m defending them because you’re taking this too far” is step numero uno to cutting down the very existence of fair trial and democracy–even in places where saying that might seem a little dramatic.

First, there's Geralt, who is utterly convinced that Jaskier is only human. And humans are fragile. They bruise, they bleed, they break far too easily.
So Geralt is fiercely protective. He hovers, worries, and throws himself between Jaskier and anything that even vaguely resembles danger. The very thought of Jaskier getting hurt is enough to make Geralt's stomach twist.
Then there are the other witchers.
Unlike Geralt, they've already pieced together that Jaskier is most definitely not human. In fact, whatever species he belongs to will probably outlive death itself.

I will admit it’s been very vindicating seeing people criticise legundo for defending how pyro was threatening to stalk and harass his own fans, because I have disliked legundo ever since that one time he quote-retweeted a 15yo to call them an abuser (for the crime of saying it’s fine to write stuff that breaks ccs’ rules as long as the ccs don’t see it) and then, upon being informed that said teenager was receiving harassment and death threats as a result, doubled down by saying that hopefully this would serve as “an important life lesson.”
this is (part of) what I mean when I say the whole “boundaries” shit is a consent issue. “if you don’t want me to hurt you, don’t do this thing I don’t approve of” is not an acceptable term to set in an interpersonal relationship, much less one where you as the creator hold all* of the power and the fans have little to none. don’t wear that short skirt or that low-cut top, and so on. it’s victim-blaming. there is no world in which it is appropriate for ccs to endorse or support the harassment of children. at least in my opinion
I really can and will blame the 9-5 for everything. "We're in a loneliness epidemic" well, we have to spend a third of our day interacting with people in a professional way that makes forming real friendships difficult and then we're peopled out by the time we're done. "People are eating more and more unhealthily" people have to spend more than a third of their day doing work related tasks and they don't want to spend their tiny amount of free time making food. "People aren't involved in their local communities" after spending more than a third of their day doing work related things people are tired and also all those community events take place during normal working hours. "People need to get more hobbies" after spending more than a third of their day working, people are TIRED and don't want to do anything that takes yet more energy. "Literacy is dying" to maintain your critical thinking skills you need to read/watch things that make you think and after spending more than a third of your day doing work related stuff you are TIRED and don't want to expend even more brainnpower. "People need to get outside more" People. Are. TIRED. Because they have to spend all of their time working or preparing for work or recovering from work or doing all the chores they couldn't stay on top of because of work. I can blame fucking anything on having to work, it is truly the root of all fucking evil.

The cancel culture and lack of media literacy is the perfect hellstorm for the new-age purity culture.
You can't make one single mistake or you become public enemy no.1 of the week.
Every day people's lives are being dismantled because what?, they didn't refer to a fictional character by the "right" pronouns? Do you realize how insane that sounds? FICTIONAL.

You could spent half as much time as you do attacking strangers online– because you jumped to the conclusion that they are transphobes or misogynists without stopping to even ask if that was their intention or belief– you could spend all that extra energy helping the lgbtq in your REAL LIFE who ACTUALLY MATTER because THEY'RE NOT FICTIONAL.
Back to the purity culture bit, what I mean by that is; You expect everyone to be absolutely perfect by your own standard and you accept nothing less than. Anyone who slips up intentionally or otherwise gets burned at the stake with no chance to redeem themselves.
The internet is a place of witch hunts, the requirements to "be a witch" constantly expanding so you can weed out the most "sneaky" of the "bad people" and torch them before what?, they get you?, before they can explain? This is exactly the same pattern repeating again and again in all genocides that have happened in the world— the expansion of criteria to be vilified, that is.
And so far I've only talked about the real world and real people aspect of this whole topic. I still have more I could say about how you treat a fictional character better than the real human artist who made them. You all could stand to be reminded your goober isn't real and you can't misgender or hate crime them because they don't have feelings and again, aren't fucking real.
Viewers making content of their favourite characters can and will and have always changed innate aspects about the character (such as gender and age) in order to tell their own story. Yet here you stand, "correcting" their "wrong opinion" based on the canon, rather than understanding they are making their own story that they can relate to more.
If you police people on their own creative works rather than inquiring about your suspicions and concerns, I hate you, please block me because I don't ever want to see you in my comments.

Something like this would be so colossally helpful. I'm sick and tired of trying to research specific clothing from any given culture and being met with either racist stereotypical costumes worn by yt people or ai generated garbage nonsense, and trying to be hyper specific with searches yields fuck all. Like I generally just cannot trust the legitimacy of most search results at this point. It's extremely frustrating. If there are good resources for this then they're buried deep under all the other bullshit, and idk where to start looking.
another addition as far as physical media goes there is the encyclopedia of national dress (that i still need to buy myself bc this kind of thing is super important to my sort of fantasy designing) but yes i do agree i wish there was EVEN MORE documentation on this
