It's getting haircuts around the same time every few months and sharing clothes. It's cropping a shirt so it fits you both better. It's always cooking an additional serving, even if youre not seeing each other.

It's seeing the other the way they want to see themselves.

It's talking about your gender envy and dysphoria and the things that bring you joy. It's watching each other curate a life of joy and safety.

I love watching them build their cozy space with trinkets and photos and furniture and lights.

I love seeing the trinkets ive contributed and the twilight lego set sitting in the corner, waiting to be assembled.
