As the default parent of a 3yo boy I’m getting so sick and tired of doing everything.
I work four days a week and do everything around the house.
I’m the one who buys the boy clothes when he’s outgrown his old ones, I’m the one to bathe/shower him, brush his teeth, toilet train, everything.
I love my husband, but I’m beginning to resent him.

So sick of these one sided friendships.
Don’t get me wrong, I get that people have their own shit going on but when you’re the one that Always (and I mean Always) reaches out and the one that Always goes to Their house when you do hang out.. it gets… well, really fucking annoying.
Anyone else wash their laundry 3 times over before they manage to remember to hang them out to dry????🫠

The smell of approaching rain.
we would get super high and play minecraft together all the time…
we’d go on so many adventures, wandering into bushland to find a spot and have a picnic.
we camped on property in nsw, at one point having to pack up and move bc we were on private land, the other camping spot being a small bit of land - just a little bigger than that of our tent.. and surrounded by water with the land around us being a couple feet higher.
he booked a hotel for us once as a surprise, it was (up until then) the most romantic thing anyone had ever done for me…
we got.. naughty… outside a church at night, almost getting caught by security.
we would go to the pub, play pool and watch the nrl together and he’s the reason I still go for the Rabbitohs to this day.
early on we met up in the city and when we had to part ways we swapped tshirts so we could still feel close to each other.
we made so many memories together, granted, not all were good.. but I choose to remember the best and will always hold a place in my heart for him.
Finding out someone you once loved has died creates such a mix of emotions.. even more so when you find out that they passed due to alcohol abuse, all alone.. not even the coroner can give an exact TOD due to the circumstances around his death.
My heart is aching thinking of how much he must have been suffering..
The regret of not reaching out.. reminding myself that our lives simply took different paths after we broke up, that it’s normal to lose contact in those times.
Today im grateful for the time we had together and the memories I will always have.
I can only hope that he is at peace now…
