This was such a bomb. Nevertheless I am grateful in every single blessing I’ve been receiving since day one. Now it’s time to cap off the year. This will only be short for I was busy surviving all 365 shots.

JANUARY

roadtrip to Dumaguete. Swimming with some sea turtles at Apo island. I still remembered how $$ the price of the ‘bangka’. Also, my most unforgettable peeing experience. And how can we forget Mabini rocky and foggy road in zero visibility. 3 days stay at the Oriental and we are never going back.

FEBUARY

THE DEE LOO RESTOBAR AND GRILL.

opened our very first restaurant on March 19, 2017. Run by of course no one else but my family. Where everyone is super hands on. The event that changed all our lives. From lifestyle, to priorities and responsibilities.

Named this how the apo is calling his grandfather, “DADDYLO”. After many random names for this venture, the siblings agreed to one brother to just twist ‘daddy lo’ into ‘the dee loo’. 

ps: Many thought our surname is dee loo. Many thought we were pure Chinese. Many didn’t get it tho. 

if you haven’t visited our place, we are located at Marketplace (NGC/national government center), Box #12, Technopark, Villa Angela, Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, Philippines. We serve dinner and is open daily from 4pm up to 2am. So see you around.

The Dee Loo first ever masskara festival, and ‘twas a beautiful disaster. Now we are ready for Masskara 2018 with open arms!

We made it through Mayana Peak, but apparently with Mt. Ulap’s view. Thanks for the stormy weather for making this hike fun and memorable one.

NOVEMBER

a decade full of love and hate, yet more on love and kilig. Growing up and trying out things together is insane. so we spent this day going back to how we are during our nene days, S/O to fast food! how did we ever survived full ten years opposing to each others wants? thank you for being my constant armour. continue being genuine and natural all the time.

DECEMBER

christmas parties everywhere.

Started 2017 giving up most of the time. I always thought back then that “I cannot do it”, “i cannot make it”. But maybe because I am one in a million  lucky child, everyone around me were like an angel. From understanding everything up to  encouraging me to do better. And yes, they believed that i am brave and strong. Most importantly, they believed i can make it, and that i can do it. I may not have ordinary days like before, i may not have the usual holiday seasons like before, i have cancelled a lot of lunch and dinner dates unlike before, i haven’t been into places like before, i may not have slept normally like before, i may not have enjoyed my leave credits like before, ‘twas a surreal roller coaster ride, BUT HELL YEAH! I survived!

This year really did fast forwarded my age, i mean by that, i learned life. i learned the REAL LIFE. My patience from level 1 abruptly raised into level 10. It was true that i was experiencing the best of both worlds dilemma. So with sincere prayers and guidance from the Lord, I am happy that i made it alive in the finish line. Thank you Lord God for EVERYTHING. Indeed I am blessed this year in so many many manyyy ways. 

Don’t just enjoy life when you’re on the top, don’t be sad when you’re on your down low, some failures makes enjoying worth while. Always believe in faith! And yes, smile often :)

every year keeps getting better and better, and i know for a fact that 2017 will be much more. of course there are many downs and failures last 2016, but as what jmc said “count your blessings instead of sheep”, there are just A LOT of things to thank the Lord for.

In every chapter that ends, comes a new beginning. A new chance, new hopes, and a new life. Let us always remember that no matter how life is like an everyday failure, there will always be something good and better. Waking up every morning is not a tiny blessing, it is a chance to move on from yesterday and time to feel and enjoy another of today.
