Like the Krill had sexual dimorphism, and hermaphroditism inherently, they change their physical morph to match their function within the “colony.”

And during this time, the gender is framed as reflecting the morph, but then the Hive Gods happen, and while the Hive still posses the morphs of the Krill (albeit evolved), the gender identity is no longer tied to it.

Oryx transitioned so fucmifn hard he invented an entirely new sex just for himself, we love a King.

And I love this, I love that they have this attitude of existing as you wish to exist, because you’re alive, you’ve alive and you are here, because you have survived the universe, and you have earned the right to chose who and what you are.

And honestly, Oryx puts it best himself.

He asks that you use it to carve your reality into a more suitable form. To crack and shatter this weak shell, to find what you were meant to be and then carve and chisel and hone until you become that glorious shape.

The only right is existence, he says, the only wrong is nonexistence; you must become what you are, because to be anything else would be fatal.

Deep Dives

FINALLY did the tattoo and scar map for my custom Durge, Tavrin: a drow rogue. And she needed three cos she got new scars after her lobotomy, and new tattoos after she moved to Waterdeep xD

I put her "default" at the top, which is how she looks during game events and my fic "Don't Let Me Kill You". With bonuses at the bottom for her appearance post-canon, as she is in my fic "Anamnesis Red", and her Chosen of Bhaal appearance pre-canon. Fic pending.

Do you guys think Orin has trouble taking compliments/praises seriously? Or rather, do you think she gets them often? Do the people around praise her from their hearts or out of fear?

Personally, I thought she doesn’t get praises regularly since she's someone who has to scrape for recognition from others all the time.🫠 I also think she would have a hard time giving out compliments too haha.
