The biggest thing that's annoying me is that Oscar is quietly suffering the exact same problem George is but no one's talking about it, so everyone is just saying Oscar's just coming up short. Nope. Oscar's dealing with the same weird deployment issues on the straight that George is. But because he's not meant to be in the title fight, we just aren't talking about it. So anything Toto is saying about how it's just George's driving style is wrong because the exact same thing is happening to another team with their same engine. And I do wonder if something similar isn't also happening at Alpine and/or Williams, just less obviously.

the obsession over kimi in commentary is quite annoying when there's something happening and they decide he's more important, but what is more is the obsession over kimi being 19. arvid is 18. he is also a teenager. but he doesn't get that epithet - or even mentioned, despite being absolutely incredible this season

#it always irks me when people say that arvid is just more “mature” than kimi #as if that’s a justification for the infantilisation of kimi #i’m really sick of hearing about him in relation to his age #quite frankly i don’t think this much emphasis should be placed on age #but the fact that it is for kimi and NOT for arvid makes it 10x weirder #like wow lets think about why kimi may be perceived as young and innocent and allowed to play into this “prankster” persona they’ve created #and why arvid might not be. and about how he would be received if he acted similarly to kimi #and why people say arvid just “looks more mature” than kimi #the reason behind with an r and ends with an acism #like yes arvid is generally a well-spoken and well-mannered guy but let’s think about why he may be held to that standard and kimi less so

i actually think that what's being missed in the 'why does everyone love heated rivalry' conversation is just that it's good

it's well made, well shot, well directed, the music is interesting, the costumes are both thoughtful and subtly period accurate, the sex scenes are intentional and, again, accurate to what hooking up when you're like 18 actually feels like...the actors are of course attractive but they look like real people. the characters are varied and well fleshed out, the acting is really, really strong

so many shows and films shoot and then slot in whatever music kind of fits or could be licenced in the budget after time, but you can tell that the scenes in hr were shot with that specific music in mind. and the same intentional approach runs through the whole thing

it feels...so nice to watch a show that cares about itself
