I am not on a boat

In times like these, a boat is an even more valuable asset than before. There will be other times I reckon.

Sometimes you need a certain distance (to boats) to value the bigger picture.

I’ve learned to lower my expectations of seing sunrise on the Elbe today. Up next: i’d need to lower my expectations of being on a boat.

These guys are taking pictures of bigger boats while being on their own cute little boat. First boat problems.

See that boat in the background? Way too fast, way too far away. Gotta love that nice little beach in the foreground, though.

Sometimes a change of perspective is all it takes. Sometimes it's just not.

Two boats and the Badeschiff. Not too many people on the Badeschiff today. Not too many people on any of those two boats today (including me, of course).

Nice weather. Nice boat. I am not on that boat, but hey: nice weather!

Some people take big risks to be on a boat. I'm more a play-it-safe kinda guy.

This is not a boat but (most probably) a depiction of a boat. That little white square in this depiction of a boat is most certainly not me FYI.

Some things change, others don't.

Boat: in the bay. Me: far away.

Look what i found in the archive: a dad with his kids on a boat. I am a dad. I am not on a boat. Ergo: kids aren't the crucial factor in regards of being on a boat, either.

It's hot outside. Even people on boats prefer being in the water to being on boats. I'm indifferent.

People on boats get up early. I get up early. Not early enough apparently.

These are radio controlled miniature boats. I can't be on either one of them.
