"You don’t have the right to boss me around, stranger," she muttered a bit bitterly, though with a teasing undertone to keep him from taking her statement to heart. "Leave me alone to die," Melinoe said dramatically, closing her eyes and placing the back of her wrist to her forehead in a full-out theatrical pose.
"Unless you’ve brought me food," she opened one eye to take a peek at him, her voice hopeful. She hardly even noticed that he hadn’t called her by her real name because quite frankly the lines between her and Mara were still pretty skewed.
"If that is what you wish, I could end your miserable existence now if you so wish it." He frowned then, tugging down her blankets.
"I can kill a rat for you, but if I don't even like the taste of rodent, I doubt you will." He sat then, on the edge of her bed, carefully looking her over. "If you get out of bed, I will take you to procure... some food."
