its getting late, i wonder how long she has. we’ve been at this party for like 5 hours but…it just never feels like enough time. the party is starting to dwindle down in size and commotion. we’re sitting on this kinda old couch…it has to many pillows, we don’t care. they’re playing “She” by tyler and frank. its crazy, i love this song. i grab my phone and look at the pictures of us. we look really happy…you look really happy. i never know i could make someone this happy. as all this is going on i didn’t even realize that you’re holding (more like inspecting haha) my left hand, you’re just gently caressing it. feeling the tiny, tiny grooves in my fingers. trying to count the spaces in-between them. you know its impossible but you wanna try anyway because i’m here…i’m finally here. i have a weird urge to say something nice and sweet but i would honestly ruin the moment. making a joke or trynna be smooth…it doesn’t feel….needed with you. i realized that this in this whole time of me deciding what i should or shouldn’t say i’ve just been staring you for what seems like the greatest eternity i’ll ever experience…it probably was. and you’re are literally trying to remember the details of my hands because you want to remember every single thing about this moment because you know it won’t again happen for a long time. anything extra isn’t needed. in that moment i kinda understand when people sometimes say “loving you is easy.”

it is.

you finally look up at me, you smile at me…i swear you’re glowing. you grab my hand…so tightly….and i kiss yours. you rest your head upon my shoulder. that moment was one that i’d waited my whole life for.
