Watching the Terminator Genisys again this time, I came up with a tricky question. Yes or No we are really who we are in terms of nature? Or were we actually born to be a good or a bad person? Well, let’s consider John Connor’s case, he’s the great leader of humanity in the battle against Skynet, and we all know everything he has (education, discipline) is from his mother Sarah. No matter what he has gained, it took him a space of so many years, whereas Skynet blew ‘em up only by a touch. I was like “what the heck”…. Is it true that good and bad are really two sides of the same coin which are, on the surface, mutually exclusive, but closely related and never can they separate from each other? No doubt the border between good and evil is so light that only a little effect (in the right time) can easily pull somebody down together with his/her initial ideal. Since The dark knight rises (the dark side) taking over its brother’s position, then the game is over!
P/s: John might go beyond his ideal, to what extent, this does make sense. Let’s think out of the box and look at what John got from Skynet: a new super strong constitution, immortality and overwhelming mentality. So why didn’t they seize that opportunity, but tried to kill him instead? Suddenly remember a fictional character once said “y’all want to protect the world, but you don’t want it to change; how is humanity saved if it’s not allowed to evolve?” so sympathetic with these guys, u r not wrong, u just put ur rational intelligent theory in the very wrong place – the Earth – where never does it have peace!
