The car is a 1991, 2.5 liter E30 M3 raced in DTM by Steve Soper. The car is complete and is one of the most developed versions of the DTM M3 but would need extensive servicing before it could be operational again. It was photographed in the lobby of BMW of North America before going to the Rahal shops for some cosmetic restoration. It will be on display again this August at the Rolex Monterey Motorsport Reunion and the Legends of the Autobahn Concours during Monterey car Week.

Camped out in the Landcruiser for the first time last night. Had a late start because it’s been so hot. Camped out next to the river, then spent this morning and afternoon exploring some roads near Skykomish. Definitely need to do this more often.

This is the last Defender. …

Yesterday was good. My buddy Eric was down from BC picking up some car parts and wanted to go explore a bit while he was down. Brandon joined us with his monster 4Runner. We headed up by Skykomish and were in about a foot of snow at the highest points. Ended up linking with about 10 other trucks randomly on the trail and were up in the snow for a good few hours before we started losing daylight and headed back down. On the way down, we found Ryan with his Tacoma on TE37s.
