I am so confuse

been a rough week. I found out last week that my job--the first and only job I've had that I actually enjoy doing and feel like I can live with--is currently at risk. Rather; my position at the school is at risk due to budgetary constraints in the next school year. Like, its absolutely not a reflection of either the quality nor necessity of the work I do--the loss of me being there would be felt would affect nearly everyone for the worse. There is just not enough money, and I'm the least senior member of my 'department,' so that's how it is. they're working to try and put the screws to the budget and FIND the money for me, but if they can't pay me... then they can't pay me. And as much as I like the job, I can't work for free. I don't know for sure if I'm out just yet, but I've never really had good luck, so I'm not hopeful.

some slight positives is that I could potentially try and find another position in the district... and I am pretty well regarded by everyone there, so I'd have no shortage of recommendations wherever I go. but I like THIS job and THESE coworkers. and like... I was just starting to feel like I could maybe live with some comfort and not be fucking stressed about money 100% of the time.
