it would not have been good for katara to kill her mom’s murderer. just like it wasn’t good for aang to kill ozai. it’s not about having mercy it’s not about forgiveness like its not that deep. its just kids who don’t want and should not have a human death on their conscience so early in life. like if they were a couple decades older i’d say go for it! but kids need to be kids not killers. no one that young should kill a human being if they can avoid it. they’re just too young.
