was he being laughed at for his audacity or for his seeming lack of social awareness? perhaps both. but this was nothing compared to the vile mockery he was used to enduring at the hands of the youngest nase sibling and her sharp tongue.
while the comment was indeed an easy conclusion to reach, this guy was absolutely underestimating him.
"sure i'd risk my life savings and an arrest for that -- as if! only an idiot would do something like that."
akihito put one hand at his side and rose the other into a lecturing index finger.
"besides. the most important factor when deciding physical attraction is whether or not the person in question is wearing glasses. if i'm going to risk it all, there is no point in making it for anything less than the most pure and holy."
What is wrong with young people....Badou gazes at him with a blank look behind his eye, as though there's nothing there any longer. The lights aren't even on, someone is home but they're being held hostage by this conversation he started himself.

palms swept over her lap hastily . swiftly . worms , tackle , bobbers -- fishing was a major industry in arendelle all year round . how pitiful that her knowledge began and ended there . it was such a major part of everyone's lives .

Badou probably can't ever break the fond allegations when he watches her enjoy herself, just purely be herself in these moments.
"Of course. It'll be good--just don't gang up on me too much....I know you will, though," he adds teasingly, clearly not worried about it.
γπππ«π€ πππ«π€!γ- The feathers still visible on his cheek fluffed up slightly. He didn't quite meet Badou's gaze.
"It's 'cause I want to, honest! I've... been in yer hair for long enough. I should go back and face things. Besides, I might have a new roommate by now an' it's not really fair t' leave 'em with my mess."
He couldn't say he didn't feel guilty or scared, but he also felt like he had to go. He needed to go back and actually face what he'd done. Clean up. Try to move on.
"I've gotta go back and try to figure it out."

Badou hums, plops his chin into his hand as he cuts a glance at Thor. His confusion makes sense-- again, it's a rich kid kind of knowledge, from the vantage point of privilege. It's merely the way it usually is-- no whisper of malice upon it, no despair. Just the simple facts of class.
"They might have had a badge, sure. Or a paper document. Apparently your gold spoon was enough to see you fly, bud." He softens the words with a teasing grin.

what star - sovereign so considered a pilot's authorization was far different from what badou called a DRIVER'S LICENSE . and he had ne'er a need for an identification card , which was a different beast .

He hums, sharing Thor's gaze rather curiously, but no less bemusedly. Badou always has interesting conversations with the King. Confusing, informative, and oftentimes underlined with wistfulness. Something aching and sad cloaked Thor, always, much like his brother.
"Well, a pilot's license you can fly a plane where I come from. Driver's license you can just drive a regular car and do road rage like any other asshole on the street. How'd you get one?"
