In the other campaign, my masochistic beefcake of a lawful evil paladinlock character had horse shit flung at his inter-dimensional face-hole by another party member so my patron could smoke it in a bong to determine whether or not a horse was on magic steroids.

It’s not just him though, I’ve met many people who seem completely incapable of understanding singers without the lyrics in front of them. Why is that? Of course I would understand if it’s an audio processing issue, but listening to “Fortunate Son” and thinking it’s a pro-war song or listening to any song by The Village People and thinking there aren’t any allusions to gayness is just perplexing. The complete misinterpretation and misunderstandings of the artists message while they’re actively singing to you will never not astound me.
