HYPERION, the hotel in the sky!

A luxurious, 900 foot long transoceanic airship sailing 21,000 feet in the clouds, The Hyperion has been sailing the sky for many years, carrying up to 60 passengers (and 40 crew members) all around the world. A shriek is heard all throughout the open areas of the ship, startling passengers and crew alike. “Where are my pearls?!” A moment later, "WHERE are my pearls?! My pearl necklace, it’s gone!”

With everyone already on edge, Captain Walker can do nothing but sigh and shake his head as accusations from a wealthy passenger cause tensions to worsen. 

Wealthier passengers are staying far away from middle and lower classes as if they’re diseased, middle class passengers are trying to appear as innocent as they can as if to say they’re on the wealthy’s side, and the lower class are angry as can be because all fingers are being pointed at them.

Some of the wealthy are demanding that the crew go through lower class passengers bags, but Captain Walker would never allow such an invasion of privacy, and promises that the situation will be handled appropriately; offering a reward of $500 for the pearls and a plane ticket home instead.

Still, some passengers are angry at offering a cash reward for theft, but the Captain sees no other way to retrieve the pearls without accusing innocent people. There’s no way to make all parties happy here, so he stands firm in his decision. 

Sending approximately 60 passengers of various classes and vastly different social statuses into the air with little ability to get away from each other certainly couldn’t be a bad idea, right? Not to mention the 40 odd crew members tossed in with them, already sick of doting on their every move, especially the upper classes who seem to be needier than newborn babies... and if you ask the right crew member, they’ll say those needy ones apparently need to be bottle-fed, too.

Well, the owner of The Hyperion may have thought he was doing a wonderful service to the passengers, giving away tickets and allowing everyone to join, but he may have done them all a great disservice. Captain Walker anticipated as such, but no one with more than 6 figures in their bank accounts listen to the likes of a lowly employee. 

Tensions between the classes have been higher than the airship soars, and everyone is on edge. At their first stop in Brazil, each and every passenger scrambled to get off, desperate for space away from each other. 

Still, space from each other and time away from the ship can’t mend the broken pieces of a society that urges members of each class to viciously hate each other. The middle class hates the lower class because they’re striving to be upper class. The lower class understandably hates the upper class because they have more money than a person could ever possibly need, amongst other reasons. The upper class hates both because they’re nothing but bugs under their shoes. 

At least... that’s how they’re all told to feel, how they’ve been raised to feel.

After a decade-long war, this vacation couldn’t have come soon enough. This outcome wasn’t a thought in their minds. 

I would love someone who is active (meaning hopefully they can usually be online when I'm away, and are willing to plot with players, etc) and wants to help with creative things like events and tasks!
