did i finish the whole book in a frenzy then have to take some time to recover? yes. i think the most beautiful thing about loveless is the examples of platonic love. reading about romantic love is still something i enjoy, but in loveless it shows relationships that i can want. reading about georgia’s friendship with rooney, and the found family of the shakespeare squad, i finally see what platonic relationships could be for me. idk, being aroace and as fond of romance as georgia, it’s easy to only think about what you can’t have. loveless showed me what i could maybe have someday.

at first i thought i didn’t like the first person pov. which i slightly doubted because i have enjoyed first person povs in the past. now i think it’s just stressful to be in georgia’s head. she has a bad case of anxiety brain not unlike mine. the way she overthinks everything is all too familiar. a lot of the situations she’s in are really overwhelming too. it’s not fun to when it’s in your own head and it’s not fun to read about either

some first impressions lol. switching to contemporary after reading mostly fantasy for a while is quite something. is fabricating crushes a universal aspec experience or what?? though mine were less fabricated than platonic crushes that i thought were romantic. are college marriages a real thing in the uk? and why?
