Went back and rewatched Friendly Rivalry and was reminded of how much I love that show! 1000/10 would recommend. It's got me reintroduced to Hyeri and I've started watching some of her older stuff. About to start Reply 1988.
That said I also can't help but think of all my favorite actresses recently. Ones that I would LOVE to see work together but likely never will for multiple reasons. So here's a bit of a list.
Namtan and Hyeri
These two would be amazing on a variety show! They prioritize audience enjoyment and having fun and are always a joy to watch. Acting wise they seem to have both similarities and key differences to their approach. I'd be interested to see them in a drama.
Engfa, Film, View, and Chung Subin
Again, something dramatic and that would give them all really rich character backgrounds where they can excel
Tungpang, Namtan, and Caity Lotz
Something action based Tungpang and Caity could lead with the stunts but I think the potential is definitely there.
Zhou Ye, Hyeri, Go Youn Jung, and Janeyeh
All have played a similar type of role so I'd love to see them grouped together in something.
Last one is,
Faye, Engfa, Namtan, Film, Emi, and Janeyeh
Logistical nightmare to work out between companies but, it would be amazing with the right director, producers, and script.

If everything remains as chaotic as Ep 3 then my ADHD is going to make me stop watching. It's too much! I've got emotional whiplash from caring about Bambi, being exhausted by her, and jumping between pairs before I have time to process what just happened in the previous scene.
There were some big moments this episode to be sure but, something external kept me from fully engaging with the entire Ep. Mostly the editing but also the music sometimes (Goya and Sasha's convo in the vintage store). I'm not sure if the show wants to focus on aesthetics or grounded storytelling. I almost feel like the show itself is having that same battle. For example that video call with Prim and Bambi made no visual sense to me, for the story it worked showing that Bambi really does have her hooks in Prim pretty deep. Why there was a stylistic choice made to have each of their "boxes" change in size I don't quite understand.
After 3 Eps I also have the impression that GR is going to have a 3 act structure. We just finished the "introductions" and are about to reach the climax of act one.
Here's a rough idea of what I'm thinking so far (have not read the novel, so this is all a guess):
Act 1:
- Ep 1: Intro to the Characters
- Ep 2: Intro to the Dynamics
- Ep 3: Intro to the Conflict/Consequences
- Ep 4: Fallout and a New Player
Act 2:
- Ep 5: Things start to get messy
I imagine someone, mostly Bambi, is going to try to explain themselves and make things worse for herself later. Goya I imagine is going to test boundaries with Sasha convinced that she's doing it for her own reasons, and not that she finds Sasha attractive in anyway.
- Ep 6: Actions and Reactions
Each pair may get closer but, I don't think this will be a big cause and effect Ep. maybe that is felt immediately or somewhere down the line. My guess is the latter.
- Ep 7: Making Memories
An Ep filled with character choices adding on to future issues or laying more ground work for success in their relationships.
- Ep 8: The consequences of your actions
No one is safe from past actions and choices coming to haunt them; both from the near past and years in the past.
- Ep 9: Not so fast
Nothing will be fixed easily and things likely get worse before they get better.
Act 3:
- Ep 10: The problem that can't be solved
Someone or something comes in to exacerbate a seemingly unfixable problem. This will start the dominoes falling for everyone.
- Ep 11: Continued Finger Pointing
Probably started towards the end of the previous Ep. But this episode will feature some crying and major finger pointing from the main 4. Min and Preaw might be ok by this point and just function as support for those around them (more likely I think they will be dealing with some final doubts of their own).
- Ep 12: Reconciliation
As has become standard everything will get sorted out in the end.
I had high hopes for this show and I'm not ready to let them go quite yet. There is a massive amount of potential here. The fact that I wanted to cry for Bambi a few times in Ep 3 but, also felt as torn as Prim is proof that it exists. Min and Preaw also won me over this Ep. I'm also loving the cat and mouse of Sasha Goya. Like I said, I'm interested to see if I'm right and I hope I make it to the end.

There is something that I need explained to me about LIS: Reunion, didn't the game have you make the Chloe choice before Safi died? The reason I'm asking is because I don't really have time nor want to play DE again. Also doesn't that mean that the timeline merger would not count for that part?
I'm all for suspension of disbelief but, superpowers need to have rules (much like magic) to make them matter. With the logic that seems to be presented Joyce should also be having visions of the 2 time lines (since her fate is the opposite of Chloe's). Idk I want to be more excited for Reunion then I currently am.

If Namtan has 100 fans, film and I are two of them.
If Namtan has 1 fan, I'm dead and Film is the only one.
If Namtan has 0 fans, Film and I are both dead.
By the way, the reverse is also true!
These two are very impressive humans and I'm so glad that destiny 😉 brought them together. May they have many more successes and be in many more series!
**sidenote: I'm absolutely not prepared for what Girl Rules will bring based on my reaction to BBfest Day 2!

Not just about the Japan promise but, also about the way that Film just naturally "wins" against Namtan.
Gonna lay this out under the cut because it could get long and very delulu.
**Yes I will be putting "win" in quotes every time
First the latest win, the Japan promise. Film "won" because regardless of who's telling of the story you believe, Film got two cheek kisses and 1 sniff-kiss from Namtan. Namtan got 2 cheek kisses (one stolen and the other freely given)
In games when Film loses on a technicality Namtan still let's Film win. See the Lux Live for an example.
Earlier this year F was "winning" by one upping NT in terms of flirting, mostly on live streams.
Prior to Pluto filming F "won" by being one of the only people to make NT publicly shy. My brain goes immediately to the workshop were F kisses NT's head, then F stares at the camera all proud of herself. F was probably the only one to do it on a consistent basis.
On the lolen side, F "wins" by being able to sit back and watch her charismatic, talkative, funny partner (non-romantic) naturally take over a room or interview.
F's characters seem to always get the girl. We'll see w/ Girl Rules how things go but, I think Prim is going to end up chasing Bambi in the end. (Sorry NT you're just destined to fall for F, I don't make the rules haha)
F's ultimate "win" is that she gets to work with NT. Someone that she has looked up to for awhile. Also that people at GMM were calling F "NT's replacement" (even though everyone knows NT can't be replaced, duh 😎). Which means that F's acting talent is on par with NT's according to their peers.
All of this is in the lolen spirit but, it just got me thinking a bit.

Namtan went live on TikTok this morning and watched part of EP 11 of Pluto. It was nice at first. It felt like a rewatch party! I even pulled up the Ep on my TV to watch along.
Then we skipped to part 3/4. I thought I'd be fine since I'd be looking more at the livestream. NOPE 😭😭
I ended up getting so absorbed in the scene at the end that I forgot that she was live streaming. I was starting to cry, Namtan was starting to cry. It was too damn early for being this emotional! It was not as bad as the first time I watched that scene but, MAN! Definitely shows that Pluto had two very talented ladies as the leads.
I enjoyed the live. It was just too early to be feeling all of that again 😆
I'm watching the BTS for Pluto from my boxset. Its got me thinking about how there is balance in how different Namtan and Film are.
-- Film is the older sister in her family and Namtan is the younger sister in hers. The reverse is true in their CP.
-- Namtan is (imo) an ambivert that presents like an extrovert. Film obviously is an introvert. When Film seems more extroverted, Namtan will match her or, let Film take the lead.
-- They have a 4 year age gap but, take turns being the "mature" one. NT just has more time in the role as the Phi.
-- They both take their job seriously but, know there is room for a bit of fun to be had.
-- Anytime we've seen them have a serious discussion it's not one-sided. Even if one person is doing most of the talking. They have a very collaborative vibe about them.
I'm amazed at how far they've come. I hope that this is still just the beginning for their careers (a rebirth for Namtan since she has been around for quite some time). I'm just super pumped for Girl Rules! Also, I'm excited for any and every series that they do after. They can be together or solo, preferably together pwetty pwease!
You put a touch starved person and give them a relationship with a person that has to express and reach with people every time by touch because they can't see.
Every time May reach for Ai-Oon. and gives her those small touches to try to find the right place she wants to touch.
And you notice how much those small gestures affects Ai-Oon.
I am telling you Pluto is a masterpiece when you give a proper analysis and move on the lies.

I'm sooo proud of these two!! I watched both of the Fan Meets and they did an amazing job! Talk about a good value! They looked stunning! 🤩🤩
You can tell they put a lot of work into the event. It's been a fun 2 days waking up super early to "catch up" with them and have some lolens. I had a blast and I cried too. I'm just so happy for them. It's totally deserved.
It's also reminded me that I'm going to be a crazy person when Girl Rules finally airs 😜
