On my way home after the endoscopy. Iv anesthesia is so much easier than the kind used for surgery- I went under just after 10 and now I'm in the car. They took biopsies, but didn't find anything acutely out of the ordinary, so I have to go back for that gastroparesis test where you eat a small amount of food laced with isotopic something that can be traced. And my old friend pantoprozole is back at twice the previous dosage lmao

just left the er at least they gave me anti-emetics to take home this time

I collapsed during a blood test for the very first time today. It's never been an issue before, but this was the first blood test I've had since I started having issues with gastroparesis, so I'm guessing it happened because I'm unintentionally fasting. It happened really suddenly, like mid-sentence, as soon as the nurse took the needle out. By the time I realized I was blacking out it was too late to give a heads up, so I scared the shit out of the nurse and woke up in the recovery position surrounded by a bunch of ice packs lmao

Recap of the last ten minutes: Meredith came out and sat still long enough for me to catch her. I let her outside and accidentally locked myself out of the apartment building (without my phone and without anyone else home) in the process. I walked around back to ask the building manager to let me in, but the old woman from next door (the one who previously broke into our apartment) was checking her mail so she let me in. She was taken aback when she saw me though, because she apparently thought I had moved out or died months ago. Did I mention I’m high? So I try to navigate that conversation very quickly while also catching the door so I can go back inside. Luckily, someone else came to talk to her so I left before she could tag along. But wow *courage the cowardly dog voice* the things I do for luv

There's a lot of wildlife where I live, considering the fact that the apartment building was built on the highway. Like, there's a crosswalk directly in front of the building that crosses six lanes of highway traffic, but I still see wild turkeys and deer strolling across the lawn in the mornings

Here’s my dilemma: I have a spider roommate (whom I have named Meredith-Melinda) who is very fast and disconcertingly large. I don’t like killing bugs at all, so if I find any around the house I trap and release them. Not a problem. But Meredith is very smart. I haven’t been able to catch her because she’s fast, and because I don’t know whether or not she’s the type of spider who bites 2 kill. I don’t mind if she’s up in one of the far corners of the room, trying to catch dinner for herself. She can chill there. But every once in a while she’ll use the floor vents under the window by my bed to get in and outside (which is why I’m not sure if catching her will even work- I’ve seen her crawl outside before, she apparently knows a way back in). I don’t really mind all of that because she stays out of sight 99% of the time, she’s a good roommate, but I’m afraid if she IS poisonous and one of the cats tries playing with her on the rare occasion she comes down to the floor, she might bite them. That’s my only concern. Other than that, I am OK with my creepy roommate Meredith 👾
