First - the monitor. I've said before that large monitors aren't suitable for private keepers because of the danger they can pose to people, and this one (they're a sand monitor, it looks like) is well big enough to fall into that range. Monitors are curious and get into everything - letting them roam around in a room like this is just asking for them to get hurt or eat something they shouldn't!

It's also irresponsible to show one climbing on you like that, too. Monitor claws are no joke. Like, my Ackie monitor is all of two feet long with most of that being tail, and she lets me trim her nails, and she can still cut my hands up something awful if I'm not paying attention to how I'm handling her. I don't like presenting any monitor as an animal that should be interacted with so carelessly.

Next - the whip snake. That's not a "yawn," it's an open-mouthed threat display. Small arboreal snakes, like this whip snake, are jumpy and very defensive by nature, so the threat display isn't unusual, but handling an obviously upset snake for long enough to take a video is a red flag.

The sand viper looks like they might be burrowed in sprinkles? Sprinkles actually aren't a super weird thing to offer to burrowing hot snakes for enrichment purposes; some zoos and labs will do that simply because offering sand as enrichment does open up the potential for irritated eyes and vents and that's a risk you want to avoid with hot snakes as much as possible because getting them medical care is a hassle. That said, though, a sand viper has no place in a private keeper's home.

But it turns out they aren't using machine-learning to clear up blurry pictures, they're using machine-learning to detect when you're taking a picture of the moon, and then they swap in a saved PNG file of the moon.

A reddit user figured this out by taking a photo of the moon from Wikipedia, blurring it in photoshop, then trying to photograph it from across the room with all the lights turned out.
