“I suppose it is.” She nodded. Although not being one to spend much time near any store. The prices were definitely different from her time, not to mention the fact it was dollars instead of pounds. “I’m afraid I haven’t a clue, sir.”

“oh please don’t call me sir. i’m probably only a couple of years older than you. i’m ian by the way. thanks for the help anyway.” 

persephone twisted the male’s hand off her neck and behind his back before knocking him onto his chest, placing her foot square on his back. “not anymore.” she looked over at the other, “i think i’ve got it handled.”

    ❛ i wouldn’t know. i’ve never been to new york before. ❜ she stated before looking around. she left out the part where she shouldn’t even been alive. she was dead or she was suppose to be. 

          “it’s leaning more on the expensive side, yeah, but if you look in the right places it’s manageable even if you’re college student poor. i’ve got all the tips and tricks if you need ‘em.” it helped that he’d been able to save up some money before he came. “i’d consult someone else for bars, though. i don’t have a fake, so i’m not sure. sorry about that.”

‘ i suppose it is, i don’t know, back home everything is less than half the price it is here, ‘ nina shrugged. ‘ – a bar ?? i don’t know, but there’s a bar on every corner, basically. ‘

                    ❝No, it’s fine, I don’t really mind. I have anything better to do so you can always follow me❞ She said, starting to walk towards that direction.

“thanks!” he smiled, walking with her. “i’m ian by the way.” 

titling her head to the side, a small smile played on her lips. “probably. but there are always options to avoid spending a lot of money.” lily mused diplomatically. “oh? well, i’m happy to not be a huge disappointment for you then.” a soft laugh escaped her lips. “not like i have never drank or anything along the lines but not excessively – or in new york.”

“yeah i know. lived the life of no money long enough to know how to save it.” ian shrugged his shoulders. “ yeah didn’t wanna disappoint me, i get all cute if i pout and it’s heartbreaking honestly.” he teased. “hey- like i said, it’s not everyone’s scene. you don’t have to explain yourself to me.” 

        philip’s eyes guided to the person next to him.    a small smile painting his lips at the question,    letting his shoulders raise to his ears in a light shrug.    ‘    that depends on how picky you are ─── and what kind of bar you’re looking for,    i suppose.    but if you search hard enough,    you might be able to find some down the side streets.    ;    the best ones are sometimes down those.    ‘

ian shook his head. “i’m not really picky where i drink. if you saw my hometown you’d understand.” he shrugged his shoulders. “i dunno, just a cool, cheap bar. where not everyone is a complete asshole. you know the type of bar you could become a regular at. thanks, i’ll have a look.” 

“I got a loan from the bank, brought a bar. I’ve told all of you that I’m going to think about myself. I can make something of myself and maybe this is the place to do it.” She picked up a beer from the pack next to her and passed it to Ian. “You get nothing for free in this world kid but nice try. Apart from that one beer. That’s your freebie.”

“hey, i didn’t tell you not to. i just wondered how you were getting by. so you wanna be like kev then? be a bartender? not quite how i saw you ending up but good for you.” he smiled at her and held up the bear in a cheers. “that’s cool, with my meds one beer is all it’ll take. i’m a cheap date.” 

“Damn right it’s fucking expensive. We’re not in the south side any more.” Fiona shrugged and took a sip of her beer. Even with New York being a new challenge she was doing well for herself. Her mantra of putting herself first was going well and so far she hadn’t had to deal with the kids and their shit. “Cheapest bar’s the one I own. But don’t think being family gets you a discount.”

“then how the fuck are you getting by? none of us have any fucking money.” he was glad to see his sister again, he’d missed her. a lot. a lot more than when he left for the army, but then again he wasn’t batshit crazy anymore. or he was but he was getting treated for it. “fuck you, being family should make me get it for free.” 

turning towards the voice, lily titled her head to the side as she thought about the question for a second. “as expensive as every other big city, really.” she mused with a small shrug. “but i fear i can’t help you with the bar. i’m not much of a drinker so i really don’t know.”

ian chuckled and nodded his head. “not so great when you’re poor as shit then?” he laughed slightly. “no it’s cool. i mean- not the answer you’d usually hear on the southside. but something new’s refreshing.” 

“I really only have London to compare to be honest,” Clara admitted with a small shrug and a smile. “And London isn’t always exactly cheap, either. And to answer you other question - I have no ideas if there are actually any bars around here. I am sorry.”

“ahh you’re british. sweet. if i was into chicks that’d probably be quite hot.” he shrugged his shoulders. “no problem. i shouldn’t really drink anyway, so you’re probably do me a favour.” 

             She turned around when someone spoke to her and a sigh escaped from her lips, nodding ❝Yeah, actually it is a bit but the cheapest bar is actually not so far. Three blocks away from here❞

“oh really? brilliant! thanks. fancy showing me the way or am i pushing my luck now?” ian asked, a small smile on his face.
