Jace had dozed off in his chair, but it wasn’t a peaceful dream. Luckily he didn’t toss or turn, but a he did startle as he came awake and sat up, panicked and glad that at least this time, he didn’t scream. “Damn it.” he grumbled under his breath.

“It’s odd to see more than just history kept in libraries in this city.” Loki mused, two books in his hand as he walked. “Such a variety of things to read, it;s as wonderful as it terrifying.”

“So I decided to go with Columbia out of my acceptances. It’s program is a little better for what I have in mind.” Bram said, grinning as he glanced at the list of books he would need. “I’m a mix of emotions about this.”

Seems like I haven’t missed anything in this dull place while I was gone. The only exciting thing must be the new McDonald’s around the corner.

“So I got accepted into NYU.” Bram said, giving a grin. “I’m still a little worried about how well this campus life thing is gonna go.”

;; -- Carmen wasn’t one that felt at home in big cities - they often reminded her of all she left behind years ago, but as she sat in the park, she could feel a sense of calm overcoming her. “It’s beautiful, isn’t it?”

There’s a look of patience and concentration on her features, legs crossed underneath her, as she focused on the book in front of her. It wasn’t hard for her to make anything invisible anymore – but it still required an amount of focus ( especially when she’d been out of practice ). There’s a deep breath as she clears her mind, attention focused on the book. As the book became invisible, and Sue focused on herself, she sensed the other, a soft smile across her features. “It’s pretty cool, isn’t it?” The woman questioned as she stayed semi-visible, before her attention broke and both herself and the book were fully visible again. “It’s a neat party trick these days.”
