Hiii....yes .another revamp of the intro. Really been meaning to do it, and now I've finally done it .....
This sideblog was made by @sotogalmo for venting purposes, but it won't longer be used for that (I have better coping mechanisms now?). This blog is now my main for any of my alterhumanity/nonhumanity experiences, thoughts and the sort- along with f/o and x readers. The one thing that is still the same as that I'll still be using this blog as for me to post about my other fandoms that I feel uncomfortable with posting on main
— I like and follow from @sotogalmo .
I heavily relate to winged cats, Maine coon cats, dogs?, bleeding heart doves, robots, and a lot more but I wont list them here since it'll get too long. To put it in a more understanding way.. I think I'm some sort of weird chimerical-robot 'taur. But I mainly refer to myself as a cat for simple reasons (kuppkey (kitty, puppy, monkey) if so desired too.. term by my own friend). I'm still learning a lot of the alterhuman community along with my own mental issues-
I might write x readers if requested (it will be OC x readers though). The only OCs I've been writing for are Flor & Yume (who have their own blogs if you want to get information on them— emaciatedbuffet for Flor and weatheredhead for yume).

why dont you think the people who want flowery to be a woman couldnt handle her lol i mean. theyre the most woman centric people in this fandom. if anyone can handle female flowery its the people begging for female flowery
The ones who want female flowery can do whatever they want and can definitely handle her, yes!, im just more or less expressing my concern of the other half of this huge fandom, that have been very loud about their hatered and disgust of flowery. If hes already a Gary Sue who has a lot of hate towards him, I don't think a Mary Sue flowery would survive even a second in the fandom. And Well... also just due to the fact that some (NOT ALL!!!!!) already treat the women (or not just women, but you get where im trying to say, yeah? Feminine presenting/assigned characters) in the game like terrible no good horrible people (toriel being the biggest one), or people dont do much with the women and always focus on the men.
But. It's just My (read: one person) concerns and anxieties honestly. About a loud sixth part of the fandom that is Deltarune. And how whenever a new character comes around, that loud half seems to dumb down the new character and jokes start to seem like truth and such (dont tell me otherwise that those people wouldn't be making whore jokes about female presenting flowery, if we kept the same dynamic with her that male presenting flowery has with asgore).
I think a female flowery would be sooo fun and probably have more depth of the idea of escapism and how... people use ai and such (a lot of ai ads have women, what a suprise!!!!!!). I think she would have a deeper impact, but im also fine with the flowery we ended up with (a great call back nostalgia character of undertale itself, that has more depth to an already existing character)— since female flowery would've only been half of flowery's character (which is, escapism and nostalgia)
She would've been cool and great! And it would've been so much fun to have a very ... "pathetic" but also very confident and true to herself character! (Oh, look thats Pink!!!!!!!!) It would've been great! But hey, isn't that what headcanons are for?
Don't worry about what others think of headcanons; they are headcanons. Not real, not factual, just fun things that May have some truth to them but again- its all headcanons (you guys need to start using that word again, instead of theory or whatever).
Needlessly long explanation of why I think Flowery is lovequeer aro
If you don’t know what "lovequeer" means, it essentially means that you define the word "love" in a more radical sense. You reject societal structures that frames romantic love as the most important type of love, instead redefining "love" based on your own priorities. This philosophy is most notably adopted by aromantic people (i.e. people who don’t experience romantic attraction) because we're often forced to re-evaluate our society's values surrounding marriage and such once we realize we can't live up to them. Some aros who go through this process decide to approach the concept of love in a more freeform, anarchist way, and harbor stronger connections with other people in our lives (friends, family, teammates, and so on). This is what I believe Flowery's way of navigating the world is based in, and is especially relevant when it comes to kindling his relationship with Asgore.
I believe Flowery bearing witness how marriage and the nuclear family failed Asgore is a major factor in his motivations. He has a firsthand account of the unforeseen risks/negative consequences of marriage gone wrong, including Asgore becoming largely isolated from his family, his support system wearing down, and having his heart broken. There are observable flaws in this cultural "life script," in that it doesn't account for a backup plan if an all-encompassing partnership should fail. And after taking on "higher consciousness" in the Dark World, Flowery revels in the fact that he doesn't have to follow the rules that the Light World runs on. From the minute he's transformed, he uses his new power to create a "better" world for him and his friends.
Flowery is outwardly affectionate towards his so-called best friend and goes above and beyond to make him feel appreciated, in an "unusual" fashion that a lot of players automatically read as gay. But if you look closer, nothing he actually does is 100% explicitly romantic in nature. The same friendly encouragement, physical proximity, petnames, gifts etc. that he grants to Asgore are shared among the Fun Gang the the rest of the Flowers.
He crafts a unique relationship with each Flower in particular: friend, sibling, sparring partner, and so on. But each relationship is grounded in that same camaraderie and appreciation, with everyone's unique strengths being called upon by Flowery in the final battle. Which leads me to believe that Flowery doesn't rank these relationships based on utility or Light World societal rules, and his overt friendliness is how he expresses that belief.
It also fits in with the game's tiny homages to the Flower Power movement, a hippie-lead extension of the American anti-war movement that aspired for radical pacifism, which adopted flowers as its main symbol. Flower Power notably intertwined with the Free Love movement, which sought to remove the government/church from interpersonal affairs, and the two rallied together under the stance that marriage is "a tool for those who support war and favor the traditional capitalist culture."
Though heavily associated with current-day aromantic spaces, lovequeer philosophy mirrors the Free Love movement in that they both seek to challenge the institution of marriage, promote romantic/sexual autonomy, and advocate for adults' freedom to enter any and all interpersonal relationships as they please.
[Slight tangent: I read that the inclusion of sexual relationships in the Free Love movement was framed as the promotion of promiscuity by the general populous of the time... which is hilarious, considering the predictable influx of "in chapter 5, Flowery fucks your dad" jokes. Given the way I interpret Flowery’s innate nature and plants lacking certain instincts, it makes sense to me for him to be asexual too I guess, but I think he’d identify more with “aro” since sex is irrelevant to his guiding principles on love and friendship in-game. A “just aro,” if you will.]
Worth noting that this could be tied to how, as a plant, he might not understand monsters' social norms about relationships, especially in a setting where those norms are undoubtedly influenced by human beliefs. So despite the aspirational qualities of his relationship anarchy, it makes sense how Flowery mirroring multiple of Asgore's real-world loved ones works to both his benefit and detriment. On the upside, the way Flowery expresses his love for people is very freeform and liberal, and this allows everyone to feel valued in his eyes, regardless of the type of relationship they're in. On the downside, Asgore probably thinks it's weird™ that Flowery is trying to imitate his college bestie, his son, and his ex-wife all at once. So because he likely draws lines between all of these relationships under a Light World framework, Flowery's plan kinda backfires, in that his actions weren't able to please Asgore in the way he needed after all.
I really appreciate how Flowery’s relationship with Asgore is shown to be flawed in this way, as much as I admire his (theoretical) ideology. He comes across as overbearing to Asgore (and Ralsei) at times, which is a stark reminder of how people have their comfort levels/preferred relationship styles and mold their lives around different aspirations. Try as he might, Flowery’s unique form of self-expression won’t gel well with everyone, especially if they were taught to read certain gestures as romantic and will think he's coming on to them. But thankfully, when Asgore does eventually reject his “advances” after the final boss battle, Flowery respects his wishes and backs off. I'd factor this into the aro argument too, seeing as he doesn’t appear to get upset by this rejection like someone with a crush would.
This wasn't part of my initial assessment, but I like this post and it made me wonder if Flowery likes love as a concept moreso than in practice, which is another common aro experience. He's almost always the initiator when it comes to affection, so I'd totally get it if being reciprocated makes him feel eughghh. There's no one way to be aro after all.
But to close off, regardless of if he likes love conceptually, or embraces it more radically, "free love" is integral to Flowery's personality. Even if some people don't understand it or they adopt a certain negative perception of him, he HAS to be earnest either way. Perhaps in hopes that someday, he'll meet somebody who sees things from his perspective.
i don't know what about flowery is implied transmasc but a lot of people have mentioned it in their asks here so im genuinely curious what makes people see that.
i didnt really like flowery that much when i played through the chapter so i mightve missed something (i started liking him like. DURING the final battle.)
im on purpose asking this off anon, because i genuinely want to know and i feel im more likely to learn if i give ppl a way to directly contact me!
majority of the fandom towards the implied therian, implied trans masc, and implied abused/ neglected Flowery: " oh I hate this delusi- I mean stupid fag- I mean twink. I hope that USELESS FLOWER who's nothing but a USELESS FLOWER gets brutally tortured. Bonus if by Ralsei #[binary]girlpower." "If only Flowery was a woman who loved woman that's the only way Flowery could be good as a character. I mean who'd be attracted to someone who LOOKS like Asgore?" " Flowery is actually a terf misogynist and that's why he called Ralsei princess." " So gross how much he cares about Asgore, like why is he so CRAZEEE like that? It's so obvious how Asgore didn't like it lololol he must just love breaking boundaries? He's so creepy his existence is like violation to me." "

Questions: Did anyone else in the therian & otherkin community play Animal Jam growing up/still plays AJ classic? And did this game (or similar online rpgs) help in their discovery of your theriotype/othertype? 👀
I occasionally log in and play (actually bought myself a membership last year but didn’t end up playing the full time tho cuz of irl stuff) so I could play as a seal again and get the nostalgia + species dysphoria ease

weird alterhuman culture is I treat myself like an oc identity wise but in the sense that for a time it all feels very important to who I am as a person like yes just yesterday i felt like a harpie but now I feel like a shape-shifting siren and a panther centaur all at once and yes this is a very important part of my personality because it's so prominent in the way I think about myself I refuse to view myself as a human and most times the way I think about myself as a base level is thinking that I'm an animatronic with other sentient beings in me :) guys am I a mary sue or what 😭/pos
I would go with Flowery tbh, as long as the sun isn't in my eyes i will do photosynthesis with him, I like the warmth
[I’m assuming this is in reference to probably the best post I’ve ever made]
Getting some sun with him would be really nice. You don’t want to hurt your eyes, so you’re staring at him instead while enjoying the warmth together. You watch as he tilts his head up to take in the light, soaking it all in. He’s eaten regular food before, but you never really considered the sunlight as his primary source of it.
Maybe during your dinner date all he had was a large glass of water. Staying hydrated is very important for flowers, after all!
He’d probably put his hand around your waist while you stand outside together, letting you lean up against him. Are you warm because of the sunshine, or being so close to him? It’s probably both.
Watching the sunset together, taking it all in… with Flowery doing so in a much more literal sense. Maybe he even asks you if you’re photosynthesizing too, and gives you a cute little quippy remark no matter what answer you give him.
