I want to begin this with a huge, huge thank you to anyone who participated in, supported, of bought this zine! Without all of you this would have never been possible and I am still in awe of the results.
Total, this zine donated $383 to charity. Everyone was so generous and many of you donated more than the minim of ten which is just amazing!! Two hundred and forty-three dollars went to BLM and one hundred and forty to MEEMR.

Summary: Satan has always been intrigued by what it is that makes a human so... special. What is humanity? Well, he's about to find out! (Psst, this is another one of our submissions for @humanityobmz!)

Humanity.
One word, with thousands of meanings. It can be the person who lends a hand whenever their friend falls, or the one who willingly sacrifices their time, energy, lives, so others can strive.
Sympathy, generosity and compassion; three qualities that are innate in a normal human, qualities that they're born with, and some grow up without.
Satan closed the book.
Humans.
He always wondered what sort of creature they are, having never met one since he was born out of the old man's wrath. And though some take them as delicacies, another type of meat to be consumed as some of his brothers sometimes indulge themselves in, Satan wondered how different they are from any other creatures.
They are the reason his brothers fall, after all.
He brought the book up to the front cashier, politely asking the lady about another book he originally came there for and finding none, when a loud crash disrupted her explanation.
"Ah, I apologize, Lord Satan, but the next volume in that series hasn't arrived yet from the human wo-"
CRASH!
A demon flew over the counter, colliding with the bookshelves and causing all the books to fall. The cashier barely managed to avoid the incident as she placed a hand to her heaving chest, eyes wide.
She looked at the demon, anger filling her veins as she picked the demon up by the scruff of his neck and glared, causing him to whimper in fear. But then she remembered the Lord she was supposed to serve, so she immediately turned towards the Avatar of Wrath with a regretful smile.
"Ah, I'm sorry, Lord Satan, but it seems I have some… matters to attend to."
The demon twisted and turned in her grasp, yet he couldn't escape. Satan quickly decided they're not worth his attention.
"It's alright. I'll come by another time."
They parted ways, and the last thing he heard was helpless begging followed by a terrified scream before the door closed behind him.
Everyone knew to not mess with book lovers.

That was the norm here, in Devildom. Demons solved problems with their powers and violence while insults and vulgarity are like their bread and butter. Bloodshed events are so common to the point they never really cared who went missing or were killed the night before.
Satan was accustomed to this type of lifestyle. Having been told that demons are the worst in morality than the other two species, he wondered just how nice humans can be. He didn’t hold humans in a high light since they’re nothing but food for demons, but at least, he wanted to understand what makes them so special to have caused the fall of his brothers.
Determined to sate his curiosity, he sneaked into the Human World to observe this peculiar species.
Only to see that they’re just as wicked.
Externally, they seemed peaceful and loving, but behind closed doors, uncountable corruption happens, with the children they were supposed to protect being abused by their own caretakers and the force that was to defend their empire taking advantage of the poor.
'Humans are also a species that's a variety, and some are stronger in controlling their darkest desires than others. And the weaker ones, the ones who fail to overcome these corrupted intentions, are bound to fall into their temptations. The seven deadly sins are something they fall into regularly, sometimes destroying their souls in the process. It's quite rare to find a pure innocent soul.' Satan remembered reading those lines from the book.
And he couldn’t believe his eyes. As much as his brothers succumbed to their sins sometimes—or all the time, depending on their internal strength—humans can become worse when they fail to control those desires. Their diabolical actions almost seemed… inhumane.
Bitter taste filled his mouth. His brothers fell because of this?
He was born because of this?
News about a town being wrecked by a mysterious beast spread far and wide in the empire that day.

Satan finished reading the book, and it was insistent that humans have this angelic side to them that may have been why Lilith fell for one in the first place… But he didn't see such things, not once in his trip to the human world.
He went on another.
Looking around the town, humans were bustling and busying themselves with their day to day work, loading carriages for the economic trades and readying their horses or donkeys. Others were visiting the downtown river, retrieving pails of water for their daily needs.
Everyone looked at peace; greeting passersby, including Satan himself, with warm welcome and hospitality. But he wasn't one to be fooled twice.
Which was why he kept a distance.
Wandering alone and far from their sights, he observed them for the second time, in search of humanity he had yet to see.
Seconds turned to minutes, then turned to hours, and he was so close to concluding that humans were really nothing but a piece of meat after all.
Until–
“Here, you can have some of my bread." A little girl handed her bread to a homeless guy in the streets, to which he gratefully accepted. “No need to worry about me. My parents own a bakery.”
Giving someone your food was questionable, to Satan, for his brother, Beelzebub, rarely shared his own with anyone except Belphegor. So Satan grew up thinking it was normal to be selfish.
Plus, the girl's actions were suspicious, so wanting to confirm her statement, he discreetly followed the girl back home, only to find out she was lying.
She was in fact living in a rundown house herself, with lots of other siblings to be fed. Her parents worked tirelessly to feed their children, yet the girl offered her own food to another man? Satan didn’t understand this.
He knew lying was bad, so the girl must’ve sinned, yet he couldn’t find it in his heart to say what she did was wrong.
Was this the angelic side that attracted Lilith to humans?
Before he could dwell deeper into his thoughts, he heard a soft meowing sound nearby. His instincts kicked in and he hurriedly went around to search for it.
And there, he saw it. A lost kitten left alone on the streets, with multiple horse carriages blocking the way. He was angry at the perpetrator who left the kitten all alone in the middle of the road, worried that it’d get crushed by the horse carriages if they’re not careful.
But before he could save the kitten, he saw a young lad stopping his horse by the street, picking it up by its scruff and shushing the kitten’s cry. “Oh, you poor kitten. Let’s get you some food.”
Witnessing the kindness in front of his eyes, Satan understood what the book meant when it talks of humanity.
Humans may not be kind all the time, but their innate traits still lingered deep within. A group of them may have caused corruption on this graceful land, but there'll always be the majority who correct those errors with kindness and forgiveness.
Humans are not angels, but they’re not devils either. They are filled with flaws, yet their sincerity and generosity were exactly what made them humane.
Humanity's beautiful, and Satan finally understands why.

“Careful, my lord.” Diavolo starts, twisting to look at Barbatos even as he hates to tear his eyes away from you. “Don’t go getting too attached, now. You and that human lead very different lives.”
“I know,” Diavolo murmurs, turning to look at you once more. You’re laughing, and his heart pangs.
“But it’s hard,” he continues, “They’ve got this magnetic field that just draws me in.”
“Not only you,” Barbatos says wisely, eyes flickering over the brothers. “Be mindful of that, my lord.”
Diavolo follows his gaze to Lucifer, who’s watching you as well, a small smile curving across his lips.
Lucifer, feeling the eyes on him, tuned to Diavolo and raised his glass, crimson eyes flashing. Diavolo goes the same with his own goblet, swallowing. Lucifer had done so much for him in his time in the Devildom, had sacrificed so much, and Diavolo knew he’d be willing to sacrifice you for him if he even had the slightest idea Diavolo had become attached.
And that just wasn’t fair at all. So he’d suffer in silence, watch Lucifer slowly let down his walls and open up, and do his best to be happy for him.
After all, Diavolo had never been anything but a demon. Lucifer, though, he’d once been an angel, meaning he still had goodness inside of him. Goodness he and you both deserved.
Barbatos’ hand found Diavolo’s arm in a rare show of impropriety, giving him a comfortable squeeze. He’d manage. He always had.

Solomon had offered to drop you back to HOL (Asmo would never leave a party before midnight).
Halfway though, it starts raining. Quickening your paces, both of you scanned the area for some form of shelter from the downpour.
“MC, look there. That tree will save us, let’s hurry!” with that; he tugged you by the wrist, towards a huge twisted hellflower tree. You shoved your feet forward while your heart pulled itself along an invisible string. Eyes still glued to the spot where his hand held yours, you thanked the devil lords for the weather.
You had never truly understood, when, how or why, you started admiring him? Maybe it was his charming smile that lit up even your darkest days or the way his knowledge and power seemed to reassure you that everything is okay; now that he is here! Or how he cast a protection spell every time you had to go out alone? The rarely found optimism in the place that was literally hell) and the fact that everyone wanted to be his friend? No, surely it was when you spent all those nights before the exam, or, to come up with the perfect prank for HOL and even purgatory hall? You truly reveled in the little moments of happiness, he had to offer. But the truth was, it was just - Him. And, do you even NEED a reason to like someone?
You looked over to where he stood two feet away from you. A piece of moonlight personally blessing him, as he looked more ethereal than Simeon himself from here (and you WOULD worship him).
You ached to touch his cloud like hair, which had blown all fluffy from running around. You were stuck. Just rooted to your place as you admired him from afar. His one hand, taming any out of place stray hair, and the other, delicately combing through the white locks trying to remove the stray droplets caught up between them. His delicate fingers finally worked through knots in his hair. He turned to you, and a big smile crept up his face when he catches you staring him. “Like the view, MC?” this cocky bastard. ///uwu///
You mentally face palmed, now redder than a tomato, quickly looking away, while your heart did little summersaults inside it's cage. Any moment now, and It would have practically leapt out, if you saw that smile for a moment more.

You took a step forward; while a million thoughts raced in your mind. Heart pumping at a speed that made you dizzy while guiding your feet to what it wanted. "This was it. It. now. All this has come in place, just for me and him to become us. Just calm down and give him that note. You can do it" mentally preparing yourself as he looked at you with fondness in his eyes. ’YOLO, afterall! Ain't it? Do it now!’
