What you can feel you can connect to. What you connect to, you can understand. People are hostile towards what they do not understand because not understanding is a form of intellectual, emotional and spiritual exclusion and this exclusion is a withdrawal within oneself. It is the universe saying “No. This is not your home. I do not recognize you and you do not recognize me.” and that hurts, a lot. The immediate response is ego and individuality reinforcement. The ego bathes in ignorance because to understand one must project himself on-to and on is always outside. What is outside is beyond control. Empathy enables feeling and feeling triggers the need to understand. Feeling at home in this universe is thus a consequence of open-mindedness, empathy and knowledge, all of which are co-enabling. We must teach, touch, be soft, gentle, slow and kind. We must look into the abyss of the other and say “I welcome you inside of me.” and then jump.
