Heeled boots clacked against paving stones as Erica sauntered toward the Mystic Grill, cigarette in hand. Lips puckered, exhaling a plume of smoke as she then cocked her head to the side, studying the being in front of her with ever so slightly narrowed eyes. From the moment Erica had been turned, her confidence had sky rocketed. For the first time in a long time, she truly felt self-love. She felt BEAUTIFUL. And she was, of course she was. Clad in a leather jacket and a pair of ripped jeans, with knee high heeled boots, the blond truly was a sight to behold. A hand placed itself firmly on her hip as she then propped the cigarette between her lips, taking a long drag. Her chest tightened, allowing the fumes to pass into her lungs. “What does a girl have to do to get some attention?” She combed through her blonde locks, the hint of washed out pink colouring at the ends tangling around her fingers as she batted her lashes at the other. 

He could say that the woman he saw walking around in high heels was none other than Erica. Of course he could -- but something was vastly different about her. She simply didn’t seem like the same girl he knew anymore. She had changed, was it her outfit? Hair? She seemed to radiate confidence which wasn’t how he known her all this while. Hugo was quite baffled on seeing her and he blinked on realizing that the woman was speaking to him.  “I am -- I was--” Hugo stuttered nervously. “I mean, I am sorry, did you need anything?”

“Oh, no, I am not lost but I lost my cat.” he said sadly. “I mean, not lost exactly, he likes to play hide and seek and he knows his way back home but I am worried he went too far.”

The Emergency Room was quiet, which was either a good thing or she was about to be run off her feet.  Meredith couldn’t help but be on edge.  There was something brewing in this town, she just knew it.  Of course the council was aware and she had a feeling that they would be ramping up their defense.  This could all end so badly.

Hugo had been looking for Meredith a while now, smile on his lips when his eyes fell on the woman. “Oh, I was starting to think you weren’t at work today.” he chuckled, looking around to make sure nobody else was around. “Is it okay that I am here? I don’t want any trouble.” he said sounding slightly nervous as he always was whenever he came to the hospital.

Sylvia’s idea was bad, Hugo knew. But what was worse was the idea of telling no to the woman who somehow, for some crazy reason had decided to be his friend. “But what if we do get caught?” he told the other, despite not wanting to disappoint her by being the most boring person in town. “I mean, with the whole vervain thing and all, I am pretty scared what’ll happen if they find out what we are.” 

Hugo smiled nervously at the other. “I don’t know, I am bit paranoid since the whole, vervain thing.” he said in a hushed tone, before gratefully taking the coffee from him. “Thank you -- I am just scared, what if the rings suddenly stop working or something?”
