Last night in Lesvos. Beautiful break after a couple months of city-living. I've been learning English horseback riding, cooking Greek cuisine, volunteering at a refugee camp, boating, swimming, living life and sneaking in my day job in-between. #remotework #instatravel #travelphotography #globetrotter #passionpassport #aroundtheworld #travelgram #wanderlust #wanderer #traveler #travel #worldtraveler #traveling #explore #digitalnomads #adventure #nomad #nomadlife #workfromanywhere #remotework #digitalnomad #workremotely #workremote #laptoplife (at MoĂşdhros, Lesvos, Greece)

CoffeeScript was fun...
…but JavaScript beckons.
CoffeeScript is exclusionary in an open-source world - why limit contributions?
For those who replied w/ questions, I believe CoffeeScript is exclusionary because it limits the pool of (JavaScript) developers capable of contributing to an open-source CoffeeScript project.Â
JavaScript is lingua-franca of the web. CoffeeScript developers are a small sub-set of JavaScript developers. Open-source projects written in CoffeeScript exclude valuable contributions from JavaScript developers.

Just published a simple web service to help debug HTTP requests. See what your HTTP client is sending: headers, query parameters, request body, cookies, etc.
Recently, the US has been infected by the “failure is not an option” mantra, a toxic hubristic fallacy, disguised as a truism, which promotes the idea that risk can be removed from life; that 100% security and 100% control are possible, even desirable. Those who attempt to remove the possibility of failure, to de-risk financial systems, end up creating the probability of spectacular failure. By removing the option to fail cheap and fail fast, they instead concentrate risk and ensure we will fail hard, fail expensively, fail across the board.

I created a subreddit for sharing Bitcoin code, libraries, frameworks, etc.
Coders, contribute to the ecosystem!
It might make sense just to get some in case it catches on.

I wrote a caching module for JavaScript (it's actually written in CoffeeScript).

Chrono Trigger, my favorite Super Nintendo game from my childhood, is now on iOS. Unfortunately, there are bugs.
It frustrates me as a programmer that I can't get under the hood and fix the problems. There's a case to be made for releasing a classic as free software, I just can't put my finger on it.Â

Device.js is the top trending CoffeeScript project on GitHub for today, this week, and this month.
Additionally, yours truly is the top trending CoffeeScript developer.
Awesome.
