Every 40 seconds someone commits suicide.

Nobody is going to think you’re beautiful or interesting.

You won’t appear to be mysterious or poetic.

You will be covered in scars, they will not fade.

People will think you’re a fucking monster, or that you’re crazy.

You’ll push everyone and everything out of your life that promotes recovery.

You’ll lose your shit with your family or friends when they try and make you stop.

You’ll feel sick to your stomach when people ask you what you’ve done, and you’ll feel even worse when they ask why.

You’ll stop going out. Every invitation you get to socialise you will turn down, people will eventually stop asking. You’ll be left alone, and nobody will come back.

You’ll become nasty. A day without your blades will leave you irritable and you will violently lash out at anybody who asks you what is wrong.

Eventually you won’t have a reason, you’ll be cutting yourself, burning your self, abusing yourself just to feel normal. You thought that people who let themselves get addicted to crack were crazy, didn’t you? Well now you’re just like them, except you never get the high you’re after anymore.

It won’t feel good forever. You’ll never get better. The urges will not fucking leave you. Even when you’ve been clean for a year, the smallest thing can bring you back to the brink of the dark spiral that will once again ruin your happiness, and you’ll let it.
