Show ingredients: Love, drama, super powers and cool villains with ridiculous names. Â It's completely nerd charged and as a member of that tribe, I say that with the utmost affection. Â As superhero shows go, it's no Buffy but still pretty well written and cast, with a ton of action making it entertaining; you've got nothing to lose with this show.

By all accounts, Jane The Virgin, is a bon-a-fide hit. Newly minted Golden Globe winner, Gina Rodriguez, who plays Jane, pretty much said it all during her acceptance speech saying, "This award is so much more than myself. It represents a culture that wants to see themselves as heroes." It also happens to be the first Globe win for the CW. In its unapologetic Telenovela styled approach to entertaining us, Jane the Virgin, serves as a major culture cross-over show and so far, America is LOVING IT.

Why Is Orphan Black Still Fighting a War Buffy Should Have Won Over 10 Years Ago?
Because the show is smart enough to back away from the concept that all female power needs to be of the mentally unbalanced variety, not all the women in Orphan Black are unhinged like Helena. But that’s why this show is such a complicated joy. Tatiana Maslany is every woman, literally. And sometimes she’s something else entirely. Maslany herself has commented on the decidedly feminist thrust of the show, which makes cloning and male-driven, scientific control a metaphor for sexual politics:
That always resonated for me as a woman to have this idea of our bodies not being our own. That they’re owned by someone else. That the image of them is owned by someone else. I feel that’s a very resonant theme for young women like myself, and especially women in this industry. (via)

I <3 the Teen Wolf cast. Are you ready for season 4 tonight?
I would completely agree with Arden Cho except for the fact that they dressed her character up like woman/child anime doll last season.  She was great and I think for the most part, her acting did a lot to take away from the ridiculous costumes.  Hopefully this season she will get a look to match her character and  not some silly gamer-type fantasy outfits. Â
Quite a step toward more of a mainstream sound yet still manages to hold on to Michaelson's poetic introspective, retrospect on love and loss. Â Some funky kick up your heels numbers sprinkled throughout as well though I'm not really feeling the tone they bring to an otherwise chill album. Â "Lights Out" has some amazing featured singers, including A Great Big World and Greg Laswell. Â Definitely worth the download. Â
