Jason looked her over and then with his head tilted inquired, “What would have to happen for you to have fun?” Even if he wasn’t the friendliest nor the most attentive person, there were tiny slivers of him who cared for those around him. If he was treated with kindness, they earned those pieces. “Apparently I’m a dangerous badass with a secret. Probably too close to the truth.”
Jade smirked. “Better company.” She shrugged a little bit. “Rather than a large number of strangers that think breaking a heel off in the damp ground constitutes the worst day of their lives.” Laughing a little bit. She scrunched her nose at the mixture of festival smells. “Badass with a secret, hm?" Amusing, but not untrue. “And I assume you’ve been mingling to your heart’s content.”
