I hope that Filipino Queen fans are not just fine with self inserts and fan fiction. If you’re of age and registered, vote this election. And to the Queen fans that will be 18 by the presidential elections in 2022, please also register to vote. None of the chat rooms I’ve made before in my server have engaged in discussions regarding issues in our country. We need to take part in this. Our country needs us.  

As a proud Filipino, I am ashamed with what is going on in our country. To all of my international Queen fandom friends, the Philippine senatorial and local elections just started today and things are bleak. We are being run by a president that has no regard for human rights and basic decency. His cronies are all winning seats in powerful positions due to their extreme and toxic influence over our country. Good, strong, and intelligent people, most of them women, are being thrown into jail over the smallest things, all because they spoke out against our government.

To all my fellow Filipinos, I know that there are a lot of us here in the Queen fandom, let’s use our voices for change. Our favorite drummer Roger Taylor himself writes political songs and powerful social commentaries. Let’s prove that the Queen fandom is as intelligent as the band members we stan and vote for the people we deserve as our leaders. I myself am not of age, and not a day goes by that I wish I was. Please don’t waste your right to vote. Or even worse, sell it. 

To all my international Queen friends, please don’t hesitate to do the same in your countries. The world is messy and dark and bleak, and it needs us and our voices to change that.
