Also, can we talk about how much Eggman legit trusted Shadow in SA2? Enough to leave the future of his conquest, essentially the attainment of his empire, in Shadow's hands if the worst-case scenario came to pass?

I know it's been something of a joke that Eggman ends up betrayed by whatever being he's working with, but this one is particular is so personal because of that familial connection between.

And then Eggman was ultimately undone by his own grandfather through Shadow's actions. By Shadow simply not disclosing the program that would activate with all seven Chaos Emeralds and thus letting Eggman believe he was the one in charge and leading to his own unknown destruction.

SA2 was something else, man.
