A/N: I did say this weekend. This chapter honestly took longer than I thought it would to write, I really wanted to try and get it right.

     The servant charged with leading us to our room is spared giving us a tour of the room by Feyre shutting the door in her face. Not two seconds later, my back is pressed against the wood and her lips are on mine. There’s nothing sweet or gentle in the way she kisses me, with scraping teeth and bruising pressure. A/N: Honestly did not think dinner would require two chapters, but apparently it does.

     It’s taken me some time to understand that the way Mor dresses is a form of armor. Where I once admired her lovely, flowing gowns and shorter, slinkier dresses as an extension of her personality, I truly see it now for what it is: protection. A way to keep everyone at arms’ length while still being enticing enough to listen to.
