The non-profit brought Dunia to the U.S. and performed over a dozen surgeries on him after he suffered a childhood chimpanzee attack in his original home in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Earlier today, Giancarlo Stanton, Aaron Judge, Paul Goldschmidt, David Bednar, Ben Rice, Anthony Volpe, and Assistant Pitching Coach Preston Claiborne joined Dunia and his friends and family for a surprise high school graduation party at Yankee Stadium. Dunia, a three-time N.Y. State wrestling champion, will be attending the University of North Carolina this fall & will be joining their wrestling team.

To kickoff #HOPEWeek, the Yankees honored Jatee Kearsley and her Bed-Stuy bakery, Je T’aime Pâtisserie, which brings affordable, finely crafted food within reach of families in challenging financial circumstances — like she had growing up 💙

Despite mounting challenges, Kearsley has resisted raising prices or eliminating her acceptance of EBT and SNAP. It's her core belief that everyone — regardless of their socio-economic situation — deserves to be able to try delicious pastries 🥐
