i said this on another acc, but im gonna be reproducing all of sean's sketchbook in ballpoint pen!! its based off of my playthrough so my choices are gonna be reflected in his sketchbook :)

some of the main choices are: he's low morality, high brotherhood, kissed finn + did the heist. in my mind, he has always been morally dubious in the fact that he was always constantly thinking of survival in a "it was them or us" kind of way, but always has his little brother at the absolute forefront of his mind

that sounds like such a cool concept!! time travel is always so fun to play around with in a narrative setting :)

i was thinking of how to answer this! but yeah, it is kind of absurd that these issues are all from fuck ass karate / a karate tournament LMFAO

besides that, im in love with the way that generational trauma really plays a part in this series despite the flaws it may have. its so cool that even though the cobra kai tv show may not treat it as seriously as it should at some points (or its rushed / flawed), daniel and johnny's trauma from tkk is inherently passed down to their children because they themselves weren't able to get over that trauma.

they weren't able to find any closure within themselves during the years into adulthood, so they continue that cycle into their own karate dojos which reflects upon their kids. when it comes to a climax at the end of season 2, thats when they realize that this whole sphere of toxicity was a result of what they passed down to their children.

in a way, the beginning seasons of cobra kai felt like a constant back and forth between daniel and johnny, where, a lot like their fighting styles, consisted of johnny supposedly being the "aggressor" and daniel being the "reactor."

a lot of daniel's reactions, while i disagree with some of them, tend to be trauma responses. from the reaction he has to seeing miguel in the skeleton costume to raising the strip mall rent so that cobra kai would leave, a lot of the malice he holds is from johnny and the og cobras intense bullying and his joining of cobra kai.

its cool that you mentioned this because i've always wished that in cobra kai (they have time to do it but i just know they are not gonna trauma bond over it LMAO) johnny and daniel would talk about how fucked up it was that they were essentially getting traumatized by these adults and everyone just stood by to watch (johnny in kk2 and daniel in kk3)

like, daniel was subjected to this intense fuckery by terry silver at the tournament and everyone was just?? watching?? no one gave af until after (except mr miyagi) so it would be cool if the trauma of that was addressed EVER but i never know with cobra kai :P
