Double bk amputee girl with converse sneakers on her prosthetic legs
Guy with futuristic covers on his prosthetic leg and converse run star sneakers
A slender guy in exclusive dark blue Converse gently touches the private part of his onelegged friend, whose private part is already swollen from friction against his prosthesis. His one-legged friend is part of the "amputee in converse" community because he wears Converse sneakers on his prosthetic leg and has a converse fetish.
Seven years ago, he lost both legs. Since then, almost everything has changed: his shoulders grew broader, his chest expanded, his muscles strengthened. Only the size of his feet remained the same. When prosthetists suggested making them larger — “as befits a grown man” — he always shook his head:
— No. Leave them at 38-39 at most. That’s how they were that day.Now it looked unusual: a tall, athletic man — and small Converse sneakers on carbon prosthetics. As if teenage shoes had somehow ended up beneath the body of an adult athlete.
His muscular friends crouched down to fix the laces. Their fingers slid over the rubber toes, the rough canvas, the metal tubes, the carbon shins. The metal gave off a faint coolness, the carbon answered with a short, springy vibration. A tap of a fingernail sent a tremor through the whole structure, reaching the socket. He felt it not with skin — there were no feet anymore — but with the stump, tightly embraced by the prosthesis. It wasn’t touch in the usual sense, but a mechanical echo. The “feet” themselves felt nothing. You could press the sole, squeeze the toe, knock on the rigid foot inside the shoe — there was no warmth, no tickle, no chill. They were as silent as stone.
The Converse hardly aged. They didn’t bend with each step, didn’t wear down at the heel, didn’t collapse at the back. Year after year, the fabric only gathered a little dust, while the white rubber toes kept their shape. His friends joked: “The most durable sneakers in the world.” He just smiled. For him, those small Converse were more than shoes. They were the continuation of the pair of legs with which one life had ended and another had begun.Every touch to the carbon turned into a wave running through the metal pylons to his stumps. It was like someone had quietly tapped the body of a musical instrument, and the sound reached him through the material. Below the sockets there were no nerves, no pain, no warmth — only artificial feet hidden in Converse.
Sometimes he held them in his hands, squeezing the soles. Hard, almost monolithic. He could kick a step, strike a stone, step on gravel — the sensation came only through the vibration of the whole structure, not through the sole like in ordinary feet.Strangely enough, those small Converse endured everything. On a living foot, shoes crease, wear down, take shape. Here — nothing. The carbon foot doesn’t tire, doesn’t sweat, doesn’t change. Years passed, and the sneakers looked almost new, as if time had forgotten them.
Sometimes he looked down and smiled: one meter ninety in height, broad shoulders, a grown man’s body… and small Converse, size 38. As if the lower part of his life had forever remained a seventeen‑year‑old boy, while everything else kept growing older.

He sent her a photo of himself — in a plaid blazer, at the office, looking like he was inviting her somewhere. She replied with one of herself against a gray stone wall, hands in her pockets, culottes, sneakers.
They messaged back and forth, got to talking, decided to meet. She came to that same wall. So did he.
To mark the occasion, they took a photo — a staged kiss, hands cupping cheeks, eyes closed. It came out funny and sweet at the same time, though they'd agreed to take it before they really knew each other at all — just in case.
Then they went walking through the harbor. Cranes, container ships, the bay. They stood in the gazebo, talking about nothing in particular.
They took the cable car up the mountain — pine trees, snow in the distance. Mostly quiet, but the good kind of quiet.
They sat down at a café, ordered coffee and a croissant. And that's when it happened: caught up in the conversation, she went to nudge his leg gently with hers under the table — forgetting that neither of them had quite the leg for it. Metal met metal with a clang and a screech, like someone had jammed a plug into the wrong socket.
They both froze. Then burst out laughing — loud enough that the waiter turned around.
