Fan! I'm a fan. @thehangingladder; cozied up on Darling St, Balmain is a ripping joint with friendly staff and some fine fries. Don't go in expecting the run of the mill, straight cut fried batons with chicken salt. When they said hand-cut chips - they mean it. These are genuine potatoes, cut up and fried. Buttery, fluffy insides with a great aioli on the side. There isn't a huge crunch factor on these spuds but they are moorish, delish and yummish. 🚨Average Alert!🚨 Where are these chips?! (I won’t say) but they are smack bang down middle of the road. 🚧 There aren’t many worse food-feels than when you get middle of the road chips. These were probably under the road chips! They felt stuck in the 90s - and not the $1 will get you a newspaper broadsheet sized portion of chips kinda way. The boring local, tired, run-of-the-mill bland kind of way. 🍟 Hey they’re chips though so I still ate them but they were low on seasoning and all round pretty poor.
